They upgraded us to a double room which was really nice to have the space after being in a tiny room in Paris. There was a kitchenette so we had breakfast in our room. Grocery stores aren’t easily accessible without a long walk or use of a car. So we picked up fruit and yogurt at the small food store. We were a 10-15 minute walk to the grotto. We walk at a good pace though. It was located away from the busyness so it was a little quieter. Rooms are simple but have everything you need.

Great Stay at Villa Mariale

The hotel is not far from the Basilic and the main streets. The room is not a 5 star but it was good. The lady at the reception, Florence was very helpful and provided all relevant information. I will go back to Lourdes and I’ll book Villa Mariale again if available.

There wasn’t cloth iron nor hair dryer. Don’t care too much for hair dryer but need cloth iron. Didn’t really use the kitchen but when we checked in the room wasn’t air out with quite a bit of food smell.

Villa Mariale is conveniently located, within walking distance of the Sanctuary of Lourdes. Our hotel was suitable despite a few downsides concerning a broken shower head and a defective toilet flusher. Both were repaired by the end of our stay. The receptionist was very helpful and informative; she explained the consequences of the 2013 flood and the background history of the building of our hotel. Ametivet

Nice hotel for family pilgrimage trip

The location is good where walking distance to Santuary of Lourdes. Reception is friendly and helpful. The most important thing is quiet environment let our family have a rest and connection with Lord. Kitchen, fridge, micro oven and stove are good for family reunion. Fantastic for family pilgrimage.

No WiFi, no TV that works, won’t stay again.

We booked for four days. We reported problem in the bath - which was resolved. The biggest problem was not having wifi in the room. One has to go to the reception to get some signal which isn’t convenient for us. The TV didn’t work either. We asked to change rooms where perhaps these issues are not there - but they said no. Not the most friendly reception staff.

Villa mariale is perfect for exploring all that Lourdes has to offer in easy walking distances to everything. We really enjoyed our stay here and will be returning next year with friends. The room was clean the staff were very friendly and helpful. Giving us all the information we asked for.

Reasonably priced apartment

I was volunteering in Lourdes for 5 days and needed a reasonably priced place to stay. The Villa Mariale was the best price. I realised that I had stayed there some years before, when it was called something else. It hasn’t changed much, but at least, this time bath towels were included. I didn’t cook, but there was a fully equipped kitchen area if you wanted to do your own cooking

The property has all features for a family stay. Microwave and cooking facility. The Bathroom was not maintained well. Knobs did not work and no hooks to hang towels.

It was a good stay. Just average. Nothing great to mention. The lady in the reception was good and very helpful. Good communication. All things provided in the room was helpful. Was able to cook and eat. The beddings weren’t that good of a quality. But for the price we paid it was good.

A hidden Gem in Lourdes. Clean, peaceful, quiet, and even greater are the friendly staff (front desk to the house crew). One event I witnessed from my room window, as an elderly couple was rushing out to catch a bus upon check-out. Florence gave chase under a drizzle and the old gentleman was rushing back realizing something they left behind, only to see the Hotel Manager Florence in the middle of the road with the precious item. I saw the priceless glee from the man's face. A great place run by very caring people. Thank you Florence and Tess for a wonderful stay.

Clean, bright and friendly staff.... an ambience of home. Situated in a Condo-like complex just at the edge of chaos of shops and people. Room is spotless, spacious with a kitchen and fridge to cool Grotto water for your daily drink. One event I witnessed from my room window: an elderly couple was rushing out to catch a bus upon check-out. Hotel Manager Florence gave chase under a drizzle, and the old gentleman was hurriedly rushing back after realizing something they left behind only to see Florence in the middle of the road handing him the item. horrible receptionist😢

It was a horrible check-in to start with. we landed late in Lourdes that’s why the reception is closed. 48 hrs before our flight I informed them that we will be late. I didn’t receive any reply from the hotel. anyway when we arrived at 10pm, the reception left a letter on the door and there was instructions on how to get to our room. She said the room was unlock and we can find the keys inside. When we went up and tried to open the door, it was locked. It’s already late and we are all tired. and we can’t find our keys. Fortunately I found an emergency number and tried to call that number. He finally gave us the keys at 11pm! The next day I met the receptionist and she said that they wouldn’t clean our room but since we are staying for five nights she will change our towels but unfortunately it didn’t happen until we checked out! And lastly on our check out day, she said we can leave our luggages in a room near the reception and we should come back before 12noon because they are closing between 12-1pm, We arrived around 11:30am and the reception was close and we cannot find her. Our bus going to the airport is coming in 15 mins. and our luggages are still locked in the room. It was a stressful stay in that hotel and I promised myself never come back again!
