A Cozy Cottage Near the Heart of All Louisville Attractions!

The barn is a complete, cozy cottage located on a beautiful, wooded 2 acres.

Enjoy complete privacy including a two person Jacuzzi tub, separate shower, queen size bed, complete kitchen (stocked with breakfast foods), covered porch with swing and gas grill.

A beautiful in ground swimming pool is located on the property. You are invited to swim, weather permitting.

There are no pets allowed. However, you can meet our small flock of laying hens and our rooster. We have fresh eggs daily.

The apple trees, grapes, cherries, pears and service berries are an invitation to the white tail deer to visit and partake daily. Bird watching is also a favorite sport.

Louisville area attractions are within 15 minutes of our property, including Churchill Downs, the KFC Yum! Center, 4th Street Live, Historic Old Louisville and the St. James Art Fair as well as an abundance of other wonderful attractions and events in our fabulous city.

We just did an overnight on our trip south but as many others have said wish we could have stayed longer. Don't stay in a hotel/motel if you can stay here!!

A Wonderful Retreat!

We had such a wonderful stay at this cozy cottage! The charming barn, chicken, and farm-themed décor made the space feel warm and inviting, and the home itself is beautifully maintained. We especially loved having private access to the pool—it was a huge bonus during the hot summer days! The jacuzzi tub was another relaxing highlight. The hosts went above and beyond with their hospitality, even leaving us fresh eggs, bacon, and bread, which we truly appreciated. The location is perfect—peaceful and private, yet just a short drive from downtown Louisville, making it easy to explore local attractions and restaurants. It was the perfect balance of comfort, convenience, and charm!

Perfectly located outside the city; about a 15-20 minute drive depending on your destination. Very cute cottage and the breakfast provided was great! We would recommend!

Pefect getaway spot, still close to attractions

We love staying here. Cabin feels so cozy and away from the city yet your still so close to attractions in and around Louisville. Hosts are super nice folks! Would recommend this to anyone. We'll be back for sure.

Cozy experience with nearby access to many fun places in Louisville

I stayed here with my son and had a great experience. The cabin was extremely nice and clean with plenty of amenities. My son especially enjoyed checking out the chicken coop as well. I would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Louisville and looking for a place to stay.

Absolute Relaxation

We were stopping over in Louisville on the way to visit family and couldn't be happier with our stay at this property. It is a delightful cabin with everything you need - and more - to be comfortable and enjoy yourselves. This cabin was so much more than we hoped for. A relaxing quiet New Year’s Eve and birthday stay is what we were looking for and American Barn was the perfect place. My anniversary trip

We stayed at this property loved the look and the location close to everything we needed and airport the accommodations were perfect clean,spacios,cozy,everything you need to stay for a weekend or longer loved the fresh eggs and food that was given it was an extra perk. The host was very good at communication and gave us whatever was needed. My wife loved the decor of the cottage it felt very warm and inviting.for the first time in all of our trips we did not want to go home i will and move to come backi would definitely recommend this place a great getaway!!!

Concert trip

We were in Louisville for a concert at the Iroquois Ampitheater. The barn was very close to the venue with all of the amenities we needed. Jerry, one of the owners, greeted us upon arrival. He was kind and told us tidbits that were useful. It was clean, cozy and comfortable. The fresh eggs from the chickens on site were delicious. If ever in Louisville again, this cute little place will be a pleasure to stay in again.
