This place was incredibly relaxing , had a great stay with my daughter she enjoyed it being so close to the beach we played All morning with the beach toys the lend you it was so nice staff was also very friendly and I was able to find parking nearby .

The owner of this amazing space right on the beach with spectacular views is the best host we have experienced in the industry. The well furnished in period rooms have so many small details to keep you smiling. The rooms are spacious, beautiful, and comfortable. You will also get great recommendations for all of your needs in this area. Truly a place to stay and a beach to visit.

Can't beat the location on the strand. Owner greeted me personally and took good care of me with parking permit and later checkout. They were in process of renovating so you can tell they are working to keep it clean and nice. Make sure to get parking permit before you pay for a meter!

Amazing historical hotel right on the beach in Hermosa. Nothing else out there like this 100-year-old hotel. Wake up to the sun shining off the beach. Go to sleep listening to the surf. Beautiful room with ocean breezes blowing through. Spacious. Tasteful. Lovely.

The Vurpillat Beachfront Hotel is a true gem in Hermosa Beach. The location is perfect because you are on the beach and a few steps from all the restaurants and shops. My family and I enjoyed our room -the bed was so comfortable and cozy! The staff is beyond friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend anyone to stay here whether it will be a family, friends, or romantic getaway.

Location is great - unobstructed views of the ocean, fresh ocean breezes. However, the windows have no screens and can barely slide they are quite decrepit, as is much of the interior. Maybe when it’s finally finished renovations, it will be quite grand, but otherwise it’s very much a work in progress. Curtains are stained, old windows let in everything including street noise. If you’re ok sacrificing some clean comfort, it’s an interesting experience.

Undergoing a renovation, so it's a little cluttered, but clean. The room (small studio) was clean and well supplied with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and Roku TV. Very comfortable bed. There is no AC, which isn't usually necessary on the beach, but I went during a really hot spell and even with a portable fan and the window open was uncomfortable sleeping. A ceiling fan would really help. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking can be a challenge, but it is the beach! Even from my back room I had an ocean/beach view. Location is right in the middle of the beach and walkable to countless bars & restaurants and convenience stores.

My elderly travelers needed a parking spot to be close to the property. An on-site special parking (by request) was granted, and even a wheelchair was also provided to us with no additional charge. The owner and his hotel staff were so friendly and very helpful. Enjoyed the two separate bedrooms with a kitchen. The history of the hotel was fascinating. Just loved the stay with the grand view of the Hermosa Beach!

Right on the beach, so handy after spending the day on the sand. Staff was amazingly helpful. Made me feel more than a customer. Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Room was cozy. Very dog friendly.
