Great location right at the beach!

Located in Marina del Rey, the apartment is in a quiet area around the corner of the beautiful Venice canals and the Venice Fishing Pier close to Venice Beach and Marina del Rey Harbor. Nearby points of interest also include Fisherman's Village and Santa Monica. Restaurants and bars are located down the street within walking distance. For the same location, you will pay way more money in a hotel!
WiFi allows you to roam and stay connected while watching the sunset or just enjoying the beautiful Marina del Rey year-round weather. The apartment comes with a queen bed, sofa, table with two chairs, flat-screen TV (Spectrum), bathroom, and fully equipped kitchen. You are within walking distance of the beaches and your neighborhood is a great place for walking and biking.
The location and apartment complex garden are an oasis from the city while being centrally located in the heart of the safe and luxurious area of Marina del Rey. The heated saltwater pool and jacuzzi will help you relax. You will have an unassigned parking spot in the garage and there are bike rentals close by.

This desirable location is just steps from world-famous restaurants and shops, multiple bus lines, and the 405 & 10 freeways.
There is a hop-on-hop-off Marina golf cart bus free of charge. A bus station is in front of the house. A water taxi in the Marina Harbor will take you to Fisherman's Village for a minimal charge.

LAX is a quick 15-minute ride, and sights such as Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Universal Studios, Hollywood sign, Disneyland, Museums, and greater Los Angeles are very conveniently nearby.

Location, Location, Location

This rental has all you'll need to enjoy a great time in Marina del Rey, just a 15 minute walk to Venice Beach. Apartment complex also houses a salt water pool that's long enough for lap swimming and a luxurious hot tub. Other residents of the apartment complex are friendly and happy to fill you in on where to shop for beach paraphenalia (beach chair, towels, etc.) and how to use the laundry system. A convenience store is also located near the pool, with all those little things you forgot to bring. There are many nice restaurants located within a block and a great organic cafe (The Hive.) Enjoy!

Not impressed

We stayed for two nights. Bathroom was dirty and water didn’t drain properly in bath and toilet was dirty and flusher was fault. Opened the cabinet to find insects everywhere. Also was asked by residents who we were and told that this complex does not allow vacation rentals so this left us feeling very uncomfortable.

Foul Smell

The unit itself was nice. The owner had placed out a bottle of wine and chocolate treats. However, the hallways leading to the unit were absolutely disgusting. Stained carpet, brown/black splatters on door frames and molding. We did not want to touch anything. AND… the awful smell within the hallways. It smelled of wet dog, bad weed, and stale corn chips. This smell was seeping into the unit. We sat in the unit for maybe 10-15 minutes and became nauseated and knew we were not going to be able to stay. We ended up booking at the Marriott Hotel just across the road. We contacted the mobile number who had been texting us the check-in information to let them know of the issue and requested a refund due to the certain circumstances. Only to find out the one who had been texting us was the cleaning/key lady. It took me sitting on hold with VRBO 50 minutes in order for them to contact the unit owner. However, they were unable to get in touch with them and left a detailed message. It was the next day when I had a message from the unit owner stating to me the cancellation/refund policy of VRBO. I knew the policy. However, my circumstance was not under normal circumstances. This was the fact the apartment hallways leading to the unit had a foul smell that seeped into the unit, making us sick. The unit owner refunded me $100 out of “curtesy.” Hopefully, this review helps others in deciding whether to stay here or not. I should have known better, as there had only been one review for this listing. I have pictures if anyone needs them.

Excellent stay

A lovely place to stay, close to beach, bars , restaurants. ..Pool was great and apartment very comfortable, can fully recommend a stay here.
