Hi,Sorry you didn't enjoy your stay here. You booked the Single room which is a small room for one person. It has a wet room bathroom so as it is all in one the shower is near the toilet but there is a curtain to pull to separate the. It looks exactly like the picture of the Single room on the Expedia website unless you were looking at our larger rooms and thought they were the Single room.You didn't mention the comfortable bed, tea/coffee making facilities, fridge, Tassimo coffee machine, 40" TV, free wi-fi and free parking.

The room was nice and clean but the bathroom could do with a serious upgrade. The shower pressure was non existent. The guesthouse is in a great position for Golders Green tube. I think it is overpriced currently due to the much needed works

Good!
Lovely quiet location, very comfortable king sized bed, lovely fresh linen. Tea and coffee making facilities and water. Would recommend and we will be back in the future.

Martel one night experience
The bed was very comfortable and that is important to me. The bathroom was very small and water pressure issues. I chose to skip the shower for one night due to size and water pressure in sink. Also the communication by email and due to no 24 hour reception was a problem for me due to special needs and when arriving late this is a problem. After many ways of trying to communicating in arrival o managed to contact the manager and he agreed to come to solve my problem regarding medication but it is a risk. One that stays here has to realize the lack of 24 hour service and communication is a problem and although the room was very spacious and comfortable the shower and bathroom facilities very limited

Clean and Comfortable
Martel House was very convenient to the tube and near places to grab food and coffee. Very quiet neighborhood. Comfy bed. Contactless check-in was very easy.

Pleasant stay
We stayed for 2 nights in December 21 and found it a very comfortable stay. Its in a very pleasant road and close to the tube station for easy access into the centre of London.

Room for improvement.
The room was decorated well, clean and nicely furnished, spacious for 3 people. Downside of the stay was the bathroom, there was a leak from the base of the toilet, reported and never fixed, therefore there was a puddle of water permanently on the floor. Hairdryer was touch and go sometimes worked sometimes it did not. The shower stand is loose and falls apart when you remove the shower head from the stand, the water was never hot, only warm, not very comfortable on a cold winters day in December. The door to the bathroom did not close due to apparently a past experience of a child locking themselves inside, so there is no way to close the door properly we had to put the bathroom rubbish bin against the door as a small weight to stop it from opening. The rooms were not cleaned daily with the excuse of covid being used that they didn’t want to cross contaminate guests etc … and would only enter the room upon request, we therefore asked for fresh towels which we received, however we asked for toilet paper replacement which we didn’t get and when I rang to complain about it I was told “surely 1 toilet roll was enough” for 3 adults! In general the room was ok with tea and coffee making facilities however the guest house need to perhaps refurbish their bathroom, also lacking shelves or somewhere to put toiletries.

The bedroom was nice, iron, hair dryer, tea, coffee, milk, towels, soap provided. The curtains hid the light well. The bed was two singles rather than a king size bed. The process of booking was confusing as Expedia said pay at venue but I called and paid over the phone and had to change rooms so did not have a bathtub like I wanted.

Long weekend in London
We stayed here to attend a gig at Brixton Academy. The location was brilliant! Just a short walk to Golders Green tube station and not long before you’re in central London. Amazing value for money considering how close you are to London and free onsite parking. Fridge in the room - bonus Overall a pleasant stay and would stay here again

The hotel is really a guest house. No in-house service. No staff onsite. The shower was cramped. Some of the bathroom towels were stained. Easy access by code. Overall fair for the price.

Service was amazing but beds weren't great
Customer service was great they contacted us before our stay answered any questions exceptionally quickly and were very helpful. Location was great and is situated very close to the main Street with lots of mice places to eat. We're currently, still vulnerable so having self check in was ideal. The rooms themselves were okay, what you'd expect for the price. Unfortunately the beds and pillows were very hard and I couldn't sleep a wink. The walls were also quite thin and it sounded like our bathroom was connected to someone else's as we could hear someone next door throwing up.

Pleasant airbnb-style guesthouse in Golders Green
Although there is no reception and check-in is contactless, the cleaning staff and owner are frequently on-site and provide friendly service. Room cleaning is every other day but will clean more frequently if requested. No cooking facilities, but there is a teapot and a refrigerator.Close to public transportation. Some rooms can be a bit noisy at times, as they face the street and the parking area, and the windows and floorboards don't block all the noise. Overall a pleasant stay

Fantastic service and excellent staff. I had to extend my stay and they were extremely helpful in accommodating us. Perfectly located for Royal Free Hospital appointments and visits. Parking on site and very convenient for Golders Green station with local shops close by.

Very early check-in was unexpected but certainly welcomed. Spacious and comfortable room with both a kettle and coffee machine. Air conditioning not required but I’m sure would be handy in the height of summer. Enjoyed the breakfast but the quality of the ingredients didn’t match the high standard of the rest of my experience.

I liked the cleanliness and location of this hotel, as well as the friendliness of the manager. The air conditioning was great, but it would have helped if the curtains (and window) could have been shut before I arrived so that the intense heat didn't have a chance to build up.

Great stay over for popping into London
Owner was very friendly and helpful. They had just had new beds which were very comfortable, they are also modernising the furniture which is in progress. Also good that they have several car parking spaces as we drove down.
