「This place is like one out of a fairytale. Most spacious! The property owner cooked amazing l meals and brought them to the room herself! They are wonderful people to meet! There are so many places within walking distance to see and enjoy in the area. The people who lived on the island are so very kind and gracious! Absolutely stunning home! Full of jacobite history for those Outlander fans! It was the best vacation i could have ever wished for!」

「You are staying on a boat on land however it was modernised with flushing toilets and hot water and heating. Hosts Lynette and Angus were lovely and could not do enough for us, loved our welcome treats and nice touches throughout the boat. Perfect for a couple with medium size dog. Would give Hope to be back again. Thank you for the amazing stay 」

「Our third holiday on Bute, it's such a great place. We all love jumping in the sea and digging on Ettrick Bay! The lounge at Kildavannan is just lovely, so warm and amazing views as you sit in the window seats.」

「The lodge was fabulous. It was spacious, yet cosy. And very well equipped, from everything in the kitchen & utility, to all of the entertainment. We loved the sauna & games room, & the dogs loved the huge garden. They also loved their walks down to Loch Awe. On rainy mornings just chilling in the lodge was lovely. Also, the beds were very comfortable & we all slept well. We visited Inveraray Castle & Jail Museum, Mull, Oban & Loch Lomund. Despite the rain, we had a wonderful holiday. 」

「The Shelduck cottage is a excellent base for exploring this scenic part of Scotland. Easy access to the Ferries to Bute/ Tarbert and Dunoon ..Andrew , our host was very helpful and made our stay memorable.We used a wheelchair and his concrete ramp was ideal for entering and leaving this spacious property. Would recommend this quiet location overlooking loch Riddon. 」
