Could have been so good

We booked this hotel for its good food, comfort and peacefulness away from a busy resort. All of this went well until the final night when a very noisy wedding party continued until 4.45am. The hotel management apologised and we happily agreed compensation with them which, later, they arbitrarily reduced. This is a good hotel with a dedicated team but the problem was handled badly. Suggest you check if there is a wedding booked during your stay. If not then it should be on your list to consider.

Bel espace dans la campagne près de Pula. Très bon petit déjeuner, particulièrement agréable sur la terrasse près de la piscine. Personnel sympathique.

We would highly recommend this hotel, it’s in the country & not too far out of Pula. It’s very peaceful, the service by Marco & his team was fantastic & you cannot go past the restaurant the food is exemplary. If we are ever back near Pula we will definitely be back to stay. Thank you

Super lækker hotel i stille omgivelser!

Vores ophold på Velanera var fantastisk , vores værelse var er utrolig lækkert og rummelig, og med super kingsize seng! Personalet er utrolig venlige og flinke, især hende der serverer morgenmad. Det eneste “Larm” der er, er lyden af fuglekvidre, en græslåmaskine i ny og næ, og engang imellem lidt harmonika musik i det fjerne. Alt i Alt er hotellet virkelig fantastisk, og hvis man trænger til lidt ro, det helt perfekte sted. PS man er nød til at smage hotellets hjemmelavet pasta med trøffel, den smager himmelsk

Lovely room, excellent meal!

This was our favourite hotel during the 10 days we spent travelling Croatia and I'm happy to write a good review. I liked the themed decoration and lighting throughout the hotel, it was well thought out and very attractive. Location: This is a great place away from the crowds and other tourists, yet only a few minutes from the beaches. Room: Quiet, huge room, with a nice view of the pool and surrounding area. Two single beds pushed together to form one large king size bed, plus a fold out bed with privacy curtain. Electrical outlet on each side of the bed. The bathrobes were much appreciated. There is a refrigerator you can use to store cold drinks in. Bathroom: the shower had excellent water pressure and lots of hot water, something we don't always get in hotels! There's a hair dryer, bidet, and plenty of sink space for your toiletries. Soap/shampoo is in a wall dispenser. Dining: We had dinner in the restaurant and I can honestly say it was the best during our entire stay. I ordered traditional Croatian dishes and there is plenty on the menu...meat, fish, and vegetarian selections. Breakfast had a standard cold buffet of meat, cheese, breads, cereal, and yogurt...also was offered eggs cooked to order and freshly made coffee. Everything was very good.

Fanstastic hotel

A very good and a very comfortable hotel. Very clean. Family business. Very friendly staff. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was superb. Will definitely stay at this again.

Clean, modern and spacious interior and room. Nice grounds. Staff were professional, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ample. Food at the restaurant was exceptional, to the extent, that our group chose to return for evening meals rather than eat out. As the Hotel is in a village, own transportation is essential for access and enjoyment of the surrounding areas in Isteria.

Phenomenal food.

What a surprise! A boutique hotel (12 rooms) in a tiny village, in the pointy bit of Istria. Enourmous rooms. Top class menu and execution. Ample breakfast buffet. Family run hotel, with the patron being an award winning chef, and occasional receptionist. Spotless inside and out. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Excellent WiFi too, measured at 6Mpbs.

Sehr schönes Hotel auf dem Lande, mit eigenem Pool. Alles sauber und gepflegt. Die Zimmer sind groß und gut ausgestattet. Personal überaus freundlich. Frühstück sehr umfangreich. Eierspeisen werden auf Wunsch frisch zubereitet. Die Küche ist durchgehend geöffnet und das Essen ist sehr schmackhaft.

Not the most elegant but my best hotel experience

This hotel is worth much than its cost. The owner seems to double up also as a waiter in its restaurant so I needed to wait for about 15 minutes to check in but boy isn't he good. He gave me a very friendly check-in once he was done with his restaurant service. He told me quite a bit about the history of his country. He let me borrow the only water boiler in his kitchen as the room does not provide any. And he even offered to cook me a dinner but too bad I wasn't hungry then. The next morning I opened the window just to be surprised by the very pleasing view of the pool and the field outside. The breakfast and service is classy. All in all, I got my money's worth and much more at this place. I would definitely stay with them again if I ever come back to this area.

A Little Further Out is SO Much Better

Daughter and I wanted to visit Pula. Sisan is about 15 mins out by car. Much more room, free parking, excellent food, fewer (narrow cobblestone street) issues. Better space for less money. Friendly, helpful staff.

Elegantes Hotel in wohltuender Atmosphäre

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt in ruhiger Umgebung. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und die Betten hervorragend. Das Personal sehr zurückhaltend und freundlich. Die Küche im Restaurant große Klasse. Auch am Pool konnte man sich gut entspannen. Alles in allem ein Tophotel.

Toll, doch mit kleinen Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten

Das Hotel ist hervorragend, weil ein kleines Hotel: nur 13 Zimmer. Es liegt inmitten des kleinen Ortes Sisan und ist vom Meer etwas entfernt. Die Küche des Hotels ist sehr sauber, vor allem gibt es kein Büffet am Abend, sondern man kann a la carte essen. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig, große Betten. Was leider fehlt: kein einziges Zimmer hat einen Balkon, keine Minibar in den Zimmer und mir wäre eine Dusche getrennt von der Badewanne deutlich lieber. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend, die Küche sehr gut und obwohl wir nur fünf Gäste waren wurde das Frühstücksbüffet aufgebaut.

Klein, aber unglaublich fein!

Es war ein traumhafter Aufenthalt in diesem kleinen Hotel. Es ist etwas außerhalb, aber wer mit dem Auto anreist ist sowieso mobil. Man hat alles quasi "vor der Haustüre": Pula, Medulin (hier gibts nen Sandstrand), Premantura und auch nach Porec oder Rovinj ist man dank der toll ausgebauten Autobahn innerhalb weniger Minuten. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber, das Bett riesig und bequem, die Klimaanlage leise und sehr effizient, das Bad sauber und sogar mit Badewanne. Das ganze Hotel ist sauber, sehr modern und schön eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war reichlich mit Süßem und Herzhaften, mit frischem Obst, Gemüse, mit Cornflakes und Joghurt. Kaffee, Tee und Saft standen immer zur Verfügung. Jeden Tag gab es eine andere Leckerei: mal Omelett mit Trüffel, mal einen leichten Auflauf mit Lachs, dann wieder gegrilltes Gemüse. Der Pool war sauber, die Liegeflächen immer ausreichend und die Sonnenschirme haben gereicht. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr gepflegt! Das Personal ist unheimlich freundlich, hier merkt man Familienatmosphäre. Die Herzlichkeit der Kroaten war mir bekannt, aber dort haben wir uns noch wohler gefühlt. Das Essen im Restaurant ist frisch, teilweise außergeöhnlich und unbedingt zu empfehlen! Genauso wie der istrische Likör Teranino, den ich da für mich entdeckt hab. Familien mit Kindern ist vielleicht eher abzuraten, da es in der unmittelbaren Umgebung keine wirkliche Bespaßung gibt. Aber wenn man das weiß, ist das auch kein Problem. Ein unheimlich toller Urlaub! HVALA!

Nous sommes partis avec mon ami en septembre 2014 et a notre arrivée a l'hôtel, nous avons été très bien accueillis. La chambre était très spacieuse (suite deluxe) et très propre. L'hôtel était bien insonorisé et le restaurant de l'hôtel était très bien. Nous avons très bien mangé et le petit déjeuner était copieux. L'hôtel est bien situé mais pas forcément bien indiqué. Il y a un grand parking donc pas de difficulté pour se garer. En gros nous sommes prêts a y retourner avec un réel plaisir. Plusieurs activités a faire dans les environs Nous recommandons vivement cet etablissement
