First the positive: this hotel is in a very quiet area not far from Kristiansand. It's great if you're on a budget and looking for something as a rest point at the beginning or end of a Norway adventure. In my case, the weather had gone bad and I was waiting on the delayed Fjord Line ferry so as to return to Denmark. My room was clean and the property is pet friendly, which was a big plus for me and my dog! But...this is an older hotel that seems to be going through a slow renovation. There was only one person on duty during my two night stay, maybe the owner or a full-time manager. Regardless, he was very nice and helpful and resolved the couple of issues I had. There is no in-room heating; you may have to request a heater (at no cost) if the weather is cold. In summary, if you need basic lodging, the price is right as you will often pay more for a simple no-frills bungalow or campsite elsewhere in Norway.

Cold and clammy

We arrived late after midnight and a key had been put out to us. The room had not been cleaned so we had to call for help. We were given another room that was clean but had no towels… the room was also cold and clammy

No sheets and pillowcases no towels, doonas are stained with wee, and pillows were old and dirty. Be careful this place is cheaper than others but really not worth the savings!!!! Photos are deceiving.

Hvor skal jeg begynne? Bare å kalle dette et motell er en sterk overdrivelse. Det er i beste fall et sted hvor du får senger, hvor du må akseptere at det ikke er helt rent, flekker etter forrige gjester, mugg på badet, gammel røyklukt som sitter i veggene og nedliggede madrasser som skulle vært byttet for flere år siden. Den eneste årsaken til at jeg endte opp her for en overnatting med mine tre barn på 12 og 8 år, var at jeg ikke sjekket anmeldelsene fra tidligere gjester. Stedet står til stryk på alt - absolutt ALT! Du kan si det er lav pris, men det er det ikke når du ser hva du må akseptere. Dusjen er forresten den minste jeg noensinne har opplevd. Den måler ikke mer en 0,46 kvm. Nei, her er anbefalingen kort og enkel - styr for guds skyld unna!

Ankomst: ingen i respsjonen, kun masse nøkler på et bord med et telefonnummer. Ringte det og fikk beskjed om å ta et par, uten at jeg identifiserte meg. Rommet: skittent, lukter fælt og det sto tre tallerkener med råtten/gammel mat på. Snudde i døra og bestilte nytt hotell, for dette har grusomt! Ringte nummeret igjen, men fikk beskjed om at det ikke kunne stemme at rommet var skittent. Elendig! Har forsøkt å kontakte overnattingsstedet, men får ikke svar. Aldri finn på å booke her!
