We LOVED everything about it. Host couldn't have done a better job in any way from pre-arrival, during stay and send off. Great experience all the way around. Having a wonderful restaurant within walking distance was a HUGE plus for us. We will definitely be back.

Julia’s house was perfect for our group of 6 in town for a bachelor party. The house is very clean and comfortable, especially the bedrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed and the fridge was even stocked with some food and drinks when we arrived. The property is large with multiple outdoor seating areas, and it was great to be able to interact with the horses! Julia was extremely welcoming and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay at her house again if we go back to Lexington.

Perfect!

We had a lovely stay on the farm with Julia. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome. She even went out of her way to plan some horse-related adventures for us and was very patient with our questions about the world of horse racing and breeding. Bonus was meeting the foals and other horses on the property and seeing the fireflies from the porch in the evening. We could not have asked for a better stay!

Love the Horses!

Very nice old farm house on a working horse farm. A mare an it’s foal (1 week old) spent most of their day in the field next to the house and loved to visit with us when we went up to the fence. Host was wonderful and the house had all the amenities one would ever need.

Homely feel, great location

We stayed with Julia for two weeks while we were showing at the horse park. It was a perfect place for us to stay with our client and staff. Julia was incredibly welcoming and provided everything we needed to make the stay comfortable. The location is great, close to the horse park and a direct shot into downtown.

5 Stars just aren't enough!!!!!

This place is heavenly! Absolutely beautiful scenery, gorgeous property and home. The best we have ever stayed at! Location is great, not to far from the city but far enough away from the hussle and bustle. Amazing views all around, no matter which way you look. The host/owner is outstanding! So great from check in to check out! She considers every little detail to make this your home away from home. Just can't say enough! 10 out of 10! Would highly recommend! Just the Best!

Our family gathered at Colliver House for a weekend At Keeneland. Our plans were rained out but we still had a wonderful time. The house is comfortable with plenty of room for all. The farm is such a beautiful place. We enjoyed visiting the horses. The home is well stocked and the welcoming cookies were an extra special treat. Julia is an excellent host and offered ideas for rainy day excursions. Our whole family rank this as our favorite vacation rental. We all got much needed rest and relaxation. Cannot wait to come back!

Horsewoman Shenanigans!

My group of six woman stayed at this cute venue. We loved it. Plenty of room for all of us. The property owner was very responsive, informative, friendly and available. We are already talking about booking again for next year. We did need some help with how to regulate the heat and air features. Horses all around us was amazing!! And the restaurant on the corner was yummy. Best hush puppies I've ever had!

Lovely home for a family stay

We were delighted upon check in - the home was even better than in the photos and description. The personal communication from the host and them going out of their way to make sure we have everything we need during our stay were just some of the many perks of staying at the Colliver House. Make sure to say hello and be kind to the very sweet horses surrounding the farm! We hope to be back next year.

Perfect location

We were 2 travelers and used 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. Location is perfect to visit horse farms, Horse Park, Keeneland and downtown Lexington. Our host Julia was super. The house is nice and clean and all the amenities were provided as listed plus homemade cookies! We enjoyed the view & feeding carrots to the horses! A great restaurant next to the farm. We hope to return again. Thanks Julia for a wonderful time!

Love the horses!

This was our second reunion at Claybank Farm, and it was as wonderful as the first. Even better because there were two mares with colts in addition to the horse-friends we made last year. The house is always well-stocked and comfortable. Julia is the best host ever!

The house and farm are beautiful! Everything is neat and clean; and beautifully decorated. Beds are very comfortable. And Julia is the absolute best host! Great communication; Fully stocked refrigerator and pantry, including homemade chocolate chip cookies and so many other “extras”!! Even helped arrange a last minute awesome tour at a local stallion farm on Derby weekend. The best VRBO stay ever!

Veteran Reunion

We spent our annual reunion at the farm and experienced the Lexington Area. This is our second weekend at the farm and Keeneland. Julia is the best host we have experienced on our travels. One of a kind experience having your coffee and feeding carrots to the horses. Property is top notch and well maintained. The snacks and meal items place for guests make you feel like family. Highly recommend this experience.

Wonderful Lexington stay

Three girlfriends stayed for 3 nights at Coliver house on Claybank farm. We had an exceptional visit, enjoying the surrounding property, mares and foals. Julia was a very generous and attentive host. We were so fortunate to be able to go with her to visit Spendthrift Farm. Seeing the stallions, trophy room, and spectacular beauty of the grounds was the highlight of our stay. College Football Trip

This property ( a horse farm) is in a beautiful location among rolling hills and horse farms/ranches. Our host, Julia was amazing as she had anything and everything needed for our stay available for us, including freshly baked cookies, and bacon and eggs to cook for breakfast. Great location just outside of downtown Lexington, with peace and quiet, beautiful horses, and awesome sunrise/set! We WILL be back!

Perfect Place to Stay!!!

Stayed a week for the National Horse Show at the Kentucky Horse Park. Great location that was 10-15 minutes from the park. Julia is an absolute gem of a host. Reached out several days before if we needed anything when we arrived. Had coffee and creamer ready with a stocked fridge. Located next to a very quaint restaurant/store called the Windy Corner. We loved our visit and will definitely stay again. Thx Julia

The best Experience!

This property is cozy, clean, and the host is WONDERFUL! We had to bring our very rare, and expensive sheep to do promotions for a business in Lexington, Louisville, and Cincinnati, and needed a place to house them in the dead of winter. Julia, the host went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed, not only for us, but for the sheep as well. You can’t go wrong booking this property! We will book again if we return. The beds were comfy, the pillows were perfect and the views are amazing!

Beautiful surroundings, cozy farmhouse, warm hospitality

Julia's place exceeded all expectations that any of us had for what a home-away-from-home could and should offer. The towels and sheets are luxurious. Julia had made homemade chocolate chip cookies to welcome us upon arrival. Check-in and check-out were simple. The adjacent Windy Corner restaurant is not to be missed. We enjoyed feeding the horses, and Julia was a wealth of information about the house, the area, and the property's history. Her communication was extremely quick and responsive. We appreciated all of the little, thoughtful touches that set this booking apart from any vacation rental that we have ever stayed at. Many thanks to Julia for the unparalleled hospitality.

Railbird Music Festival

Our family of 4 including 2 older teens plus grandma stayed at Colliver House. This was our home base for the Railbird Music Festival. It worked out perfectly! Julia is a very attentive host. The homemade chocolate chip cookies were devoured immediately and the extras were so appreciated!!! Cheese and crackers, fresh fruit, coffee, soda, bacon and eggs, carrots to feed the horses and much, much more!! This is a very comfortable house. Not new but very clean. It feels like your visiting grandma's house in the country. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone who needs a place near Lexington. Very convenient to the UK campus.

Exceeded Expectations!

We had a family gathering at this lovely home outside Lexington. The home is located on a horse farm and provided a peaceful and relaxing weekend. The home has so warm and comfortable. Our host Julia went above and beyond to help us feel welcome-great communication, fresh baked cookies! Eggs & bacon, coffee and tea! Truly enjoyed walking the property and hanging with the horses. Sitting on the back porch was so tranquil watching the horses and the barn kitties. The location is convenient to Lexington as we went to Keeneland each day. We are a party of five adults and this home gave us plenty of room for together times and private time. Our son stated this was the best VRBO rental EVER! We cannot wait for our next visit to Claybank Farm! Thank you Julia for sharing your beautiful home.

Family Christmas gathering in Ky

Ky is the halfway meeting point for our family living in Tn and In. We love the Ky countryside and enjoy the surrounding horse country. What better Christmas meeting place for our family than a 200 year old farm house on a working horse ranch. Our host (Julia) was very accommodating and the listing and pictures were very accurate. This property is somewhere between a VRBO and a B&B. The house was stocked well beyond a normal VRBO and Julia met us with a desert, as well as bacon and eggs to use for breakfast. We cooked a big Christmas dinner and had everything we needed. This is an old house so expect an old house. If you expect a modern home with ten foot cathedral ceilings and high end furnishings, this isn’t it. It’s all about the charm. The house is clean, nicely furnished, and very comfortable. We ventured around the stable area and met some of the horses. There is a wonderful small restaurant close by that you can see from the house. The chef is excellent and the food was great. We ate two meals there and the convenience was a bonus. If you’re looking for a vintage farm house experience on a working horse farm with everything you need, then I highly recommend.
