Terrific hosts; comfy and well-stocked house; lovely river setting
We had a wonderful time at this VRBO. The house was very well stocked and comfortable. The riverfront setting was beautiful. The hosts were friendly and responsive.
We really loved this home. The location is remote which was totally okay with us. It is a very quiet neighborhood. We loved taking early morning strolls, this community even has its own system of trails within which is very beginner friendly, aka you don’t even have to drive anywhere if you wanted to go on a short hike. We absolutely loved the fully stocked kitchen, this house had everything that we needed. The deck was amazing and we spent all of our meal time sitting outdoors, enjoying the river view. The host was extremely accommodating. We were traveling with an infant and they were kind enough to provide a pack and play arrangement where our baby slept the entire time we were there. Overall we had a great time and would definitely come back again.
I was a little nervous about a 30 day rental. had no reason to be. The worst part of our trip was having to pack up and leave. Russ and Beth could not have been better hosts from communication to what was available for our use while staying by the river. The kitchen was perfect and I was able to cook all our meals in which for us was a must and it is a 25 minute drive in to Leavenworth so eating out was not our best option. We really loved the community and being right on the river. We floated down the river, listened to the river each morning, enjoyed the community trails and hanging out with family.
There was plenty of room to spread out or play games and do puzzles in the evening, wi-fi was fast. Beds were really nice and the hot tube was a plus. Was also pet friendly for our pup and was well stocked for chairs and toys to go to the beach.
My husband is a runner and enjoyed the trails and paved roads in the community. He also was able to go into plain (10 min) and get a latte at the Hardware store which was a plus. I like looking around the hardware store it had some really nice merchandise.
This is honestly one of my top vacation rentals we have been at over the last 20 years. If you are looking for a place to stay this is the place.
We really enjoyed our stay in the Leavenworth area for a month in Aug/Sept 2024. The house was all one level with a few steps up into the house from the garage. The master bed and bath are quite large. The master has a king bed and a walk-in closet. It is located at the front/street side of the house. The master bath has a large shower. The second and third queen bedrooms are in the same hallway as the master. The second bathroom is located off the hallway to the bedrooms. It has a tub/shower. The house was well-equipped, and the appliances worked well. The living room area has two huge sectional couches. The TV set was large and worked well. We used our own firestick. This was a working vacation for my husband, so he set up his work area on the edge of the living room area with a view of the balcony and river. The internet was good, and the speed of the connection was adequate for our purposes. The view of the river from the back balcony was very nice. The balcony had two chairs, two sofas, a propane fire table, and a grill. There was also a large hot tub in the backyard. There was a two-car garage available for our use and plenty of room to park in front of the house. The washer and dryer are in the garage entryway area. The area is beautiful, clean, and safe. It was about a half-hour drive to Leavenworth on a very curvy road. We would recommend this rental for couples or families.
This was a great place to rest, relax, unwind and explore a few of the sites of the areas. Leavenworth was such a pretty little German style town, with cute shops during the day and some tasty restaurants at night. The primary bedroom and ensuite is a wonderful space at one end and a good size deck and fire pit looking to the river. Serene, calm and quiet. The neighborhood is perfect for the walking the dog and there is a small park for kids nearby.
