The Miner's Getaway in Lead, SD

Summary:

This unique place has a style all its own. This house offers a perfect way to relax after a day of exploring the surrounding areas. There is much to see and do in this historic area and we offer a quiet, clean, and rustic environment to experience all of this in.



Also, a reminder, Lead is a beautiful mountain town and parking is very limited. This little house is located a stone's throw away from Lead main street and we have a driveway for the home. We can accommodate 1 vehicle in the spot.



The Space:

There is a queen size bed in the bedroom, and a sleeper sofa in the living room. The house offers a full kitchen, and bathroom.



Guest Access:

We have space for 1 vehicle in the driveway for the house. We do not have room for trailers. If you have a trailer, you must call the city of Lead to work out a parking spot for it. Please use the bigger spot to the right in the driveway. The house is the back one. You have the whole house to yourself.



The Neighborhood:

We are located within walking distance of all of Leads downtown businesses. A very short drive to the ski resorts. Also we are 3 miles away from Deadwood.



Getting Around:

We have a driveway in front of the house. We provide space for 1 vehicle in the driveway. We are right up the street, and within close walking distance to a 24 hr common cents gas station on Main Street. Further down the street are a few businesses, restaurants, and bars all within walking distance. There is parking on Main Street for the businesses as well. We are 3 miles away from Deadwood as well.



Other Things to Note:

Lead is a mountain town with lots of hills. During the winter months we can get slippery conditions. We recommend driving a vehicle that can handle slippery conditions in Lead. The entry to the driveway is up a hill.

Perfect Little Getaway

I would definitely stay here again! It’s located in the perfect spot in The Hills where you’re not too far away from everything there is to do. The property was clean and the owner was very easy to work with. 10/10!

Outside is plain but the inside is surprisingly well appointed The bathroom and kitchen are beautiful and ultra modern Location is great. Walk to breakfast, dinner locations and bars. 6 min to Deadwood !

Enjoyable Stay

Our 2-night stay was enjoyed. Appreciate reasonable price without a lot of extra fees. Good communication and options provided for parking. I loved the artwork on the walls, crystal decorations and unique remodeling of this cozy home. The bathroom was lovely after 3days of camping with plush towels and fancy fixtures. Free Netflix a plus. Would stay here again.

Girls Trip

Enjoyed this cute, quaint property in the heart of Lead. The house was clean with most of the amenities you could want. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. The walk in shower was my favorite feature with beautiful tiling, a large shower head, and multiple jets. The VRBO is situated on a steep hill and parking can get hairy but the owner communicated this issue before hand.

Awesome Trip!!!

The stay at the Miner’s Getaway was AWESOME!!! The host communicated very well with us making the trip really easy,the house was stocked with all the essentials you need. The house was exceptionally clean. The house decor was delightful. I loved the kitchen cabinets and the concrete counters and my favorite part was the shower, which we fell in love with. There is a grocery store right down the road and a laundromat within walking distance to do the laundry. Lead is a beautiful little city with everything you need. Deadwood is not a far drive from the house. We will definitely be coming back here to stay again!! I would give the Miner’s Getaway 5 *****!!

We stayed here for a weekend getaway. The location was perfect as we came to the Black Hills to ride the Mickelson Trail and enjoy the fall colors which were spectacular.This house is in a great location to tour through the Black Hills. Its very clean, quiet, spacious for two. We loved it and would go back again.
