The cabin was fantastic. It was clean and well stocked. The view was great. The bath house was clean. I only have two complaints. The bath house was up a very steep hill. That needs to be included in the description as I’ve had a knee injury and wasn’t prepared for the very steep climb about 100 yards to the bath house. And the heater didn’t work. We could get the pilot light on but it wouldn’t stay on when switching to a heating mode. The cabin is clearly new so just small things to update. Overall, it was great and we had a lively time.
We really loved this property! The cabin was exactly what we were looking for — quiet, secluded, and super cozy. All of the amenities listed were provided, and everything was clean and comfortable. We especially appreciated the little touches like games (hello, mancala!) that made it feel even more homey. That said, just a heads-up for future guests: the cabin is located on a very steep hill that wasn’t fully detailed in the listing. We’re able-bodied and still found the trek up and down to be pretty tough — something to keep in mind when hauling bags, coolers, or tired kids. The firepit, bathhouse, and parking are also a decent walk from the cabin, so pack accordingly. Also worth noting: there are two cabins on the property. This one is a bit more tucked away and has less of a scenic view than the other. Not a dealbreaker at all, just helpful to know when choosing between them. We’d still absolutely book again — just might bring a 4WD next time, even in good weather. Overall, a peaceful and relaxing escape!p.s: bring your citronella candles/bug spray!*note that the photo was taken after we unpacked a few of our own things*
