Our stay at the Cobblers was perfect. The space combines old world charm with modern conveniences. You enter the home through a low entryway at the bottom of a stone street. Immediately, you will see the lovely landscaped garden and pool area. Our family (2 adults, 10 year old & 5 year old girls) found it so serene to spend our days under the umbrella by the pool. The master bedroom and bedroom with two single beds are located in one part of the home, separated by a full bath. A separate entrance welcomes you into the third bedroom where you will find an en-suite full bath, and a laundry closet. All bedrooms were generous in size and have air con. The entire home has air con except for the bathrooms and kitchen. While I would prefer it everywhere (I am American after all), the area has cooler temperatures in the evening making cooking or showering tolerable. Upstairs from the main entryway and kitchen is a spacious sitting room. Directly above that is my favorite part of the house, a terrace overlooking Maroni village with views of the sea. I found it to be the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail and watch the sunset. There is also a second sitting room between the entryway and the main bedrooms. Everywhere you turn, there are places to discover in this villa and everyone felt that they had privacy and plenty of personal space. We have been to Maroni many times as my husband’s grandparents are from the village, but this trip was extra special with the accommodations!
