Will stay again!

What can’t I say? The weekend for our family was a hit for young and old alike! The cottage was clean, comfortable and close to all amenities. We were steps from the beach and walking distance to the strip, and evenings were spent cozy by the fire. It was just the relaxing getaway that we needed. Thanks to our amazing host, Emily! We will definitely book again!

Very Nice, Clean and Comfortable Cottage

We had a great time at Emily’s cottage - it is really cute, updated, and well located with a short walk to the beach in a nice neighborhood, and very well appointed. The weather didn’t always cooperate during our stay so we spent quite a bit of time in the cottage playing board games, movies etc. and it was no issue at all because the cottage was very clean and comfortable with tons of amenities. Amenities included many games like various board games, cards, puzzles, Cornhole, etc., a really nice fire pit and back yard, all necessary linens, towels, dishes and any cooking utensils you would ever need, cleaning supplies, Nothing was overlooked. Emily is a great host, she even contacted us on our move in morning to let us know it was ready earlier than expected so we were able to get in early which was really nice. We would definitely recommend this cottage and would stay again. Thank you!

Excellent Location

This property is beautiful and very close to beach. The bunkie is a great addition as an outdoor space. I am glad I read previous reviews about only being 6 towels available so I brought extra. You can’t go wrong with this place!

Lovely stay

We had a great time staying at the cottage with our friends and their kids. Perfect setting. Great outdoor space and proximity to beautiful beach. Walking distance to coffee shop and easy place to maintain and enjoy for all! Thank you! We hope to enjoy it again.

A quaint quiet cabin

admittedly we used this cabin as a drop location to go to family reunion. But the time we spent at the cabin was lovely. It is very close to the beach, a functional kitchen, nice a/c unit to keep you cool, and fans in every room. We’d gladly come back.

Fantastic Quiet Retreat

We loved the neighborhood! Lots of tall trees surround the property to give a sense of seclusion while still being close to town and the beach. It was perfect for 4 adults and two older children. We loved the bunkie and screened-in seating area complete with picnic table and outdoor couch. The hammock chairs in the back were perfect for relaxing and there were even some beach toys that we enjoyed at the beach. The place was very clean and just as expected - and so much nicer than staying in the busy heart of town.

Nice retreat for a family of four

The cottage is clean and cozy. I wasn't sure what to expect of the neighborhood but the tree canopy is incredible! And the cottage is about a five-minute walk from the private beach. We brought a wagon which made getting gear back and forth very easy. Would recommend bringing extra bath towels as only one per person is provided, though the laundry machine is available if packing space is an issue for you. Definitely bring your own beach towels! Cottage could also use more hooks for hanging jackets and towels but thats just a small suggestion. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Great family vacation

Wonderful property with great choices to hang out. Screened porch, bunkie, fire pit, hammocks, living room with large TV or nap in one of three comfortable bedrooms. Just steps to the beach but also able to drive/park grandma there. Two short flights of steps to the main beach and water. Water soooo warm. It beats the west coast any day. Host super responsive. Had the internet up and running within minutes after the storm blew the power out. Will be our go to.

Great cottage by private beach

Cottage was spacious with all you'd need! Lots of parking, room for relaxing, cooking etc., only a short walk away to your own private beach and walking distance to the main strip. Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful neighborhood. Clean Cottage. 5 minute walk to nice beach. Property Manager was quick to come to our rescue when we accidentally locked ourselves out. Would highly recommend!

A Delightful Stay

We had an enjoyable five day visit at this cottage...my husband and myself...and then two out of town friends for two days. The cottage was very clean and well organized. It was not cluttered but had all of the items we needed. The beds and firm mattresses allowed for comfortable sleeps. We enjoyed going for walks and spending time at the nearby beach. We had a delightful time at this cottage.

Life's better at the beach!

The cottage and Southcott Pines was great! A quick walk to the beach and a quaint community setting. We really enjoyed strolling through Southcott Pines as my little one scooted along with us. It was so convenient to make short trips to the beach from the cottage. The cottage was nice and clean and Emily was very responsive to any questions. Thanks Emily!

A Gem!

Emily’s cottage is clean and very well stocked with all the necessities - pots/pans/plates/cutlery/etc. Emily even provided soap for the dishwasher and laundry. Private community beach is only a short walk down the road and is monitored to allow only community residents. Beach area is beautifully sandy and the water depth in the swim area is maximum chest height. The waves on Lake Huron were so much fun! Bring a floaty or a noodle!! The outdoor pavilion (fully screened in) was our favourite spot for afternoon naps and al fresco dining free from bugs. The cottage location is very quiet and peaceful. We had a lovely relaxing vacation. Emily was wonderful to work with - very fast to respond and very helpful. I would highly recommend this excellent vacation home.

Cute cottage with great location

This is the second time we have stayed at Emily's cottage and have enjoyed ourselves each time. The cottage is cool and comfortable and well-stocked with pots/pans and utensils. Every room has a fan and the main room is air-conditioned. There is a BBQ, fire pit and a great hammock. There is also a covered picnic area and an extra outside room for smaller kids to sleep. The real star is the location which is just a few minutes walk to a private beach. Recommended.

Excellent location and cottage.

Had an amazing time. Neighbourhood was great - we loved the private beach and so close. We loved that we could walk to Grand Bend which allowed us to park the vehicle for most of the week! We will be back. Thank you!

Loved it all!

My family and I enjoyed our first family of 4 vacation. Emily’s cottage was perfect for us (8 month old and all). My toddler had so much fun he cried leaving. Thank you for the best week and for the happy memories. We’ll be back again :).

So disappointed ...

...that I didn't book a longer stay. This property is fabulous! Nestled in a quiet, and friendly tree hugged community, it's the perfect location - walking distance and access to the private, sandy Sun Beach - or a longer walk/2 minute drive to the Main street strip and beach in Grand Bend! The cottage itself was immaculate - full of character, convenience, and comfy beds that catered to deep and restful sleeps! Added bonus is the well planned and resourced outdoor space where you can relax in a hammock or roast marshmallows over the fire. Food (Sobeys) and pharmacy (Shoppers) is also a short drive away, so you can literally just pack 2/3rds of the clothes you'd expect to wear (there's linens and laundry in the cottage) - that's it. This is a real gem of a property that I can't wait to share with friends and family again soon!
