The house was so cozy and the kitchen so well appointed. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration. We also really enjoyed dining al fresco and paddling on the lake.

Great Experience

Last summer trip before the kids went back to school. We’ve never been to Lakeport or to Clear Lake. This property was just amazing. Steeped with history and family legacy. My wife and I were fascinated with the history of the property. Add to that the phenomenal location right on the water and the incredible design of the home, and suffice it to say the trip was just everything we hoped for. Last but certainly not least, the property manager was responsive, like, replied within 3-5 minutes to any questions we had. This is a 5 out of 5 stay if I’ve ever had one. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great view, direct access to the lake, interesting history and architecture, and great service.

Now that we have found this place, this will be the only place that we will rent when we visit Clearlake, which we typically do yearly. When I say it has everything you need this is an understatement. It’s quirky but in the best way possible it’s really like staying inside a work of art. The location could not be better. You have the calmness of the lake And the view is unbeatable. All of the water sports you could ask for all the pots and pans you could possibly need honestly it has everything I love this place.

Annual lake visit

Our family tries to make an annual trip to the lake and enjoy renting a different VRBO each time . This was one of the most comfortable and best located properties we have experienced. Thanks to the hosts for maintaining a lovely property. We would surely recommend the location to anyone asking .

This is our second stay here and that says a lot. The house is very unique. The location and view are wonderful. Having access to kayaks and the paddle boat is a huge draw for this rental. The bird/wildlife exposure is spectacular. We had a few requests upon arrival and the host was very responsive and this made a big difference. Thank you PJ.

Nice spot for our family

We booked this place last minute Labor day weekend. I'm surprised a place like this was still available. My two boys fished all weekend from the docks. They loved it. Caught plenty of fish. Host communication was great. Easy check in and out. We would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect location

This place was amazing !!!! Perfect location and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need and the house was SO CLEAN!!! The sunsets were beautiful . There were games to play and all the beds were super comfortable. Everything was very true to the listing and we are so happy we were able to experience a weekend at the dome!!

Lake stay

Nice property. The house has everything you could need. Clear Lake itself is anything but clear for swimming with kids, but we had a lot of fun tubing off the dock. The owners added a ladder on the dock while we were there and that made it much easier to get in and out. There is no beach/walk in access here but the state park nearby is nice.

Fishing Paradise

We had the opportunity to stay at this amazing house with my family and friends for our 4th annual fishing trip. The house had everything we needed to accommodate 5 adults and 3 kids. The location probably cannot get any better than that. It’s located right next to the opening of main lake access. Fish is jumping everywhere. We brought 4 bass boats and the house had parking for our truck and trailers as well as a big boat dock to fit all the boats too. Highly recommended and we hope to stay again next year for our 5th annual trip. Launch ramp was conveniently located minutes away.

Charming and Fun!

This is a unique and charming home, in a great location! Comfortable for our group, beautiful view of the water and wildlife, all kinds of birds, good fishing and overall, very comfortable. The home is stocked with the things you'd need and we loved sitting on the couch and watching the lake.

2024 annual guys fishing trip

We’ve stayed 3 years now at the octagon house, always a great time, love the location , private dock and setting! Great amount of parking and space for vehicles with boat trailers! Can’t wait to come back for 2025 trip!

Great, as we’ve come to expect

3rd stay this year, 5 nights each stay. We found this property last year and it has been the best on the lake so far..and that dates back 8 years of rentals for serious bass anglers. 10 out of 10 for location, owner response, and the property itself. My only regret is talking it up so that future reservations are restricted because of high volume.

Another Awesome Stay at “The Dome”

Our second stay at The Dome and we are already looking forward to our next stay. The home is beautiful and has all the comforts you need, to makes you feel right at home. Communication with the hosts is definitely Five Star Rated! We met and visited with several neighbors. They were all so kind. The amount of wildlife was incredible this trip. Natures T.V. Was Awesome! Thank You for Another Awesome Stay. Oh, we not only didn’t want to come home, but our little dog was so disappointed for several days after we did.

A little slice of heaven

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the dome. What a fun and fantastic place to stay. We fished for hours and just relaxed and soaked up all of natures beauty for three days. The place was very clean and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend booking. We will definitely be back when our son is old enough to hold his own fishing pole lol

Dad and two adult sons, a Dome house, a lake with fish? what more could you ask for?

Excellent home, beautiful setting, fabulous wildlife to watch and just really relaxing. Thanks to the dock on the property it was easy coming and going on the lake. The hosts were wonderful with great communications and just really nice couple. Thanks very much for sharing your bit of heaven.

Eaten by bugs

Dark, dirty, buggy, hot. Started with being stung by a nest of wasps in a window opening. Ants ate our chocolate cake. Slipped on goose poop on the dock. Holes in screen dirty furnishings shower floor was filthy. Outside was unusable trees have taken over. Table was covered in grease. Swing rope in the middle of the view from main room. Refrigerator did not work .

So well stocked

Second stay this year. Already talking about dates for next spring with the guys fishing trip we do every year. We have stayed in 6 other properties on CL and this is easily the best with location, room for trucks/trailers, close to Lakeport, extremely well supplied, great docks, great view…. We love it. Rob
