Disappointed with our stay at the Intiqa Hotel. Hotel Staff were not very friendly. There was a weird smell coming from the bathroom (smelt like eggs). The rooms were old and dingy. It did not help that my boyfriend and I both got sick during our stay in Puno.

nice hotel,close to pedestrian way and main plaza

there was an issue with the heating in the room. Staff were very helpful in trying to solve the problem. However, heating was intermitent. Hotel did provide extra blankets and hot water bottles.. Breakfast was excellent.

The property is located on a very busy street and the noise from the car/van horns is constant from early morning until late in the evening. Noise also from the courtyard of the hotel was also constant. Breakfast service was uneven; sometimes good sometimes not so good. When we checked in we told the desk person we would leave before breakfast started and were told we would have a sack breakfast prepared for our bus trip. This did not happen either although we were able to put some food together as they were setting up.

Nice hotel!

The hotel is around the block from a main road that has a ton of great restaurants and street food ( my fav). No veiw from the windows but did not matter as we were out during the day. Staff was very helpful and friendly. They had the room decorated with rose peddles, I had mentioned we were on our honeymoon. Very nice! Hot water packs under the blanket to keep your feet warm. Nice touch! The only 2 things that were aggravating was the water in the shower was not consistent. There was lots of hot water but it would get to hot at times, then the wifi connection was terrible. They did have computers you could use in the lobby with a printer if you needed it, but we did not use them. I would stay again because the service was great and the location was great!

Great place to explore Puno and Lake Titicaca

Great location to explore Puno town as well as tours such as Lake Titicaca. Staff are very friendly. Breakfast is excellent and delicious with variety of local fruits. Eggs are cooked as you like. Supplied hot water bottles to warm up your bed.

This hotel was at the far end of the Machu Picchu Pueblo (formally known as Aquas Caliente which was nice at night away from the train stop and bus pickup to Machu Picchu. In order to get to the hotel you had to walk uphill with your luggage for several minutes to get to your destination which would be hard for anyone, especially someone who brought alot of luggage or has problems walking in high altitude. There are no taxis. Hotel and breakfast was great. Our room overlooked an open seating area where locals and tourists relaxed. It also had a view of the walkway to the center of town.

Gutes Hotel in Puno

Das Hotel ist gut gelegen nahe der Fussgängerzone. Die Zimmer sind gross und sauber, die Dusche war jedoch in schlechtem Zustand (ein einzelner dünner Strahl). Kostenloses WiFi ist vorhanden, Empfang und Geschwindikeit erfordern zuweilen Nerven. Frühstücksbuffet bietet von allem etwas (Brot, Früchte, Müsli, Saft,etc) war von unseren Aufenthalten in Peru jedoch am unteren Ende. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles in allem ein gutes Hotel in Puno, würde ich wieder buchen.

we had a lovely stay at this hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful. the rooms were very nice. good breakfast also.
