"It’s a beautifully sited hotel right on the lake - we hiked, had dinner there two nights and it was lovely even in the rain.
Staff are superb
My only critique is breakfast time only one restaurant open -it was mobbed so much we left- they do offer room service but that didn’t work as we were packed up to leave.
Other option for to go items - mobbed by people not staying there.
So … summary: great hikes - go early lots of hikers. lovely dinners ( we had way advance reservations)
Couldn’t get a spa treatment ( booked solid)
But you absolutely cannot beat the view
And staff are top notch"
"It’s a charming lodge experience. The location was perfect for Lake Louise and Moraine Lake shuttles access. The staff were exceptional. During check-in (Abby?) worked to find the answer to my question and resolved it. She also booked my shuttle transportation for the next day and planed the timing for each shuttle perfectly. She’s an exceptional hospitality professional. The restaurant was very good. I ate all meals here (2 breakfast and 2 dinners). The food was flavorful and fresh. The only challenge was timing meals around the large tour bus groups staying at the lodge. The lodge is about 3 stars - it’s an older lodge showing some wear and aging. Each day I saw the dedicated maintenance staff taking care of the property - landscaping and physical structures, painting, etc. The room was dark and stuffy. To lower its carbon footprint and reduce overall energy consumption, the inn does not have AC in guest rooms and provides a fan. I noted several guests would leave their door open to help with natural lighting and fresh air flow."
"The Post was amazing!! We had the family suite and it was amazing with great views. The best part though is the staff, everyone was so nice and helpful! Our tweens even wanted something for a snack and the front desk sent a microwave to the room for them!! The restaurant was amazing as well and the comp shuttle to lake Louise was so helpful!"
"We are happy to rate this lovely lodge as Excellent, despite its shortcomings. The property would certainly benefit from an update to more modern standards, as parts of it feel a little tired - particularly considering its premium price point.
What truly makes this place exceptional, however, is its management and staff. They are genuinely warm, humble, fair, and welcoming in a way that is increasingly rare. Their outstanding hospitality more than makes up for any imperfections and is the reason we would gladly return.
The electric bike rentals are also fantastic and added greatly to our stay. Combined with the lodge's superb location - just a short walk from Lake Louise and its beautiful hiking trails - it makes for a wonderful base to explore the area.
We would happily recommend this lodge to anyone visiting Lake Louise and look forward to staying here again in the future."
"Parking was good. Had a problem with the over heating in our room which the staff did sort out, once they were advised of it. However there was one controller for 2 rooms!
However, staff were lovely & tea, coffee & cookies in the reception area!"
"What a wonderful stay, I don't even know where to begin. Fist, check in was simple, very nice people. Once in our suite... wow...the views from the balcony were amazing. Waking up to falling snow in the mountains with snow covered evergreens has been checked off the bucket list. The walk to Lake Louise was simple and only a 15-20 minute hike. We loved all the amenities from the pour over coffee in the room to the ability to cook our own food. We did take out one evening as well, and that was delicious. The suite was spacious for a family of 4 especially being as you're in the mountains, very clean and well kept care of. Would highly recommend and would love to return. Thank you for our wonderful stay! Also... if you're looking to beat the crowds of the day. Hike back over to Lake Louise in the evening for a relaxing, peaceful, and still lake to see all its beauty. Definitely a plus to staying here!"
"We stayed here just one night with our dog. The hotel was clean and very cozy! The only thing I’d say is the room is pretty small for two people and a medium sized dog, and we wished there was a mini fridge in the room to store some things. That said I did love that there was a communal microwave right downstairs and nice big lawns for our dog right outside. And having a bathtub was lovely too! And very close to lake Louise which was amazing. We went in the evening after 7pm which I highly recommend! Free parking and less people"
"Great property! Situated in a quiet area close to the Chateau, the property has great atmosphere complemented by comfortable beds, great amenities, a nice kitchen, and the very nice touch of complimentary granola bars and oatmeal for breakfast.
We truly enjoyed our stay and can't wait until we return.
The front desk staff and the property owners went above and beyond when one of our friends had a skiing accident during the stay. Thank you!"
