Only boat rides available. No beaches or docks to hang out at the water. I think the shoreline belongs to the electric company. Great to drive around on the highway with good views of the volcano

Our son was so excited to fish there but we couldn't find any access points to the lake other than where you go to get on boats or seaplanes. That was disappointing.

If you’re traveling from La Fortuna to Monteverde area, the taxi, water taxi was good!
