Room was spotless and had all the necessary amenities. We loved the beach location, and a short drive over to the Malecón. Private and peaceful. Breakfast was delicious. Leeann was a wonderful hostess. Highly recommend this place.

Leeanne is a wonderful host! I really enjoyed her company and personality. *my fellow Canadian:) She has the best recommendations for restaurants and tours! She has been there for a really long time so she knows her stuff and all the places to go. My room was beautiful, relaxing, spacious and cool. The bed was really comfortable. Slept really well. Cecilia the cleaner, is lovely. My room was always sparkling and tidy when I came back from breakfast. The entire place and the attention to detail is so impressive. She has put her heart into each area of her B&B. Love the rooftop deck and access to the beach to walk on. Breakfast each morning by the lovely chef Alma was fantastic. There was always something different and all of it was delicious. You will definitely leave feeling full. The main area for breakfast is spacious and so comfortable. Such a nice way to start the day. If you drive this is the definitely the place to stay. If you don’t drive or have a car like me, it is a bit of a challenge to get to the Malecon area. But she has bikes you can use to get there quickly. The bike path is right outside her place. I used Uber alot and it was so cheap! You could walk which is about 45 minutes to the Malecon area, which I did one time. I really enjoyed my time here and my life introduction to charming La Paz. I highly recommend it. this was a unique experience for me. the atmosphere was laid back, friendly and the personal service was awesome. the property has many personal touches that make it feel like home. the property also has many distractions like paddle boards, bikes and other things that made the visit very enjoyable. I checked in late and went to bed and when I woke up I felt like I was living the life of the rich and famous. it was a hard place to leave and it's a nice place to treat yourself.

Helpful staff for recommendations & responsive to requests, beds were comfy, and breakfast was delicious! Very relaxing stay and look fwd to returning :) Appreciated the onsite amenities and ability to borrow equipment for beach outings! Only surprise was would have been nice to know ahead of booking of the 2 guard dogs that roam on-site.

Beautiful property. Loved the property , was directly on the water. The sunsets on the top patio were very relaxing. The breakfast was great and overall hospitality was top notch. First time staying at a bed and breakfast. My husband and I had an enjoyable stay. Highly recommend to stay here.

This is a wonderful place to stay with comfortable rooms, so so many places to relax in and out of the sun. A lovely pool, great breakfasts, quick access to central La Paz and walks on the beach. Leeanne and her staff have thought of everything! Go stay!

What a delightful spot! Leanne obviously takes pride in providing a warm, welcoming stay. Our room was comfy and clean with a roomy bath and shower. The breakfast area is such a sweet spot with glorious views of the bay, and Alma cooks up delicious breakfasts. Even more impressive is Leanne’s knowledge of the area. With her help and free bikes & kayaks, we had the perfect vacay!

We had an incredible stay here. Leanne was welcoming and warm, with a wealth of local information. The breakfast was delicious—such a treat to have fresh fruits and yogurt in addition to warm savory dishes each day. We enjoyed the paddle boards and bikes that Leanne has for guests. And the rooftop deck made for amazing views of the sunset! Highly recommend.

Great Place

This is a little gem of a place to stay - away from town in a residential area on the beach. There’s only four rooms so if you’re up for a quiet relaxing stay, this is the place to be. Leanne, who owns the property has thought of everything for a perfect stay. You’ll have access to beach towels, snorkeling gear, kayaks and a whole bunch more stuff for a perfect day on the beach or on the water. A lovely breakfast is included - I was on early tours for half my stay so couldn’t always breakfast - so instead I was provided with some fruit and packed breakfast to take with me. The view from the terrace is stunning - I spent a lot of time taking photos of a palm tree close to the property and the light effects that the setting sun had on it. The room (there are 4 individually named rooms - I was in the ‘Columbia’ room) is spacious and comfortable with good climate control and an excellent shower. While you’re at breakfast your room is cleaned ready for another day. The TV is packed with ‘extras’ such as Netflix. The only VERY slight downside to the hotel is the distance from the centre of town. There are a couple of local restaurants and corner shops close to the hotel but the centre of La Paz is a good 45 minutes walk away. However, it is a lovely walk to and from town - the whole town is very safe so you’ll have no worry about walking safely at any time of day. Additionally, you can use one of the bikes from the hotel or take a quick taxi. I would highly recommend

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Kootenay. Leeanne was an awesome host, and we enjoyed our mornings together with the other guests over breakfast, and had a fun bonfire on the beach.
