The price was good for LaJolla and the room was clean and well appointed. It had a very comfortable bed and great pillows. The hotel is located in a good spot, a short walk to the beach to watch the surfers. The pool looked green and uninviting, and it is walled in. It isn't a spot where you would want to sit and read a book. But it is fine for a brief swim.

Alfred at check in was extremely helpful and was able to check us in early. Alice was very pleasant at checkout and reached out after we left. The housekeeper found a blanket we left behind and they immediately contacted us. Fortunately for us we were still in the area and we retrieved item. The property is a very short 5 minute walk to the beach. Amazing views of the waves crashing on shore as Hurricane Polo was churning down south. Will visit again in the future!

The room was spacious and accommodated our family of 5 well! The room was clean and provided a lot of space for our belongings. The only downsides were that the room beside us was really loud (not the hotels fault though) and it was near a main thoroughfare, so it was a bit louder than anticipated. However, the staff was really friendly, accommodating and the hotel offered extra amenities that I wasn’t expecting like “guest of the day” and tokens to rent beach equipment.
