We LOVED our stay in July 2026, despite the downpour of rain each day our stay was fantastic, and the host/staff were so welcoming and helpful. The food was fantastic and our cabin had everything we needed. Including very comfortable beds!

We enjoyed our time at Aunty Arenal. We liked that it was a short distance to town and a lot of activities in the area. Its a small property and was down an unpaved road. The rooms were simple and beds were comfortable with AC in each bedroom. We would have preferred a few upgrades to the kitchen to make it more usable for anything other than heating up leftovers. Overall we had a lovely time.

Laura gives a real nice online support. But the very especial person is Fernando. He's always in a good mood, receptive in the PURA VIDA vibe. He makes everything work there. Thank all for the reception. And the location is wonderful: out of the noisy center, and in the middle of most sightseeing. I strongly recommend it. ❤️

The room was basic but the surroundings were surreal. The staff was wonderful and welcoming. The bed was comfortable. One recommendation: more/better face cloths! Besides that, the property is a gem. Loved our time on the hammocks by the pool area. The outdoor breakfast area was lovely as well.

We stayed in a villa and it was excellent. Plenty of space, clean, comfortable bed. The grounds were like paradise. We enjoyed reading and listening to the birds in the hammock area and enjoyed a little swim in the pool. North fields coffee tour is right beside the hotel which was convenient! We had a car which was helpful to get into town. We walked from town once which took maybe 40 minutes. We would stay here again!

Had a great stay at this little gem, tucked in this gated lodge has a beautiful pool area. Comes complete with breakfast provided. Check in was friendly and helpful, the gentlemen that checked us in had limited English and us limited Spanish so he reached out and a wonderful lady via cell call got us all sorted. Everyone was so helpful. Room is very clean with AC. Would come stay again for longer next time.

It was too cold to use the pool but it was very well maintained. We saw staff cleaning it everyday. Beautiful garden and nature around. Very calm. Only downfall is that its about 2.5 km away feom city center. Some restaurants around 1km away but more limited.

My son (8) and I enjoyed this quiet place very much. Beautiful grounds. Nice breakfast. Not perfect ( internet was sometimes spotty; blinking light in the bathroom; toilet was not always flushing well) but for the price they charge you cannot expect perfection. We valued a very pleasant home-like stay, caring and friendly stuff, quiet nights with birds chirping, and close proximity to restaurants, supermarket and coffee/ chocolate tour. Very clean too. Would stay there again!

Lovely little accommodation just off the main drag of La Fortuna. Quiet, clean, safe. Lovely staff. Parking was right outside the doors to our unit which made unloading/loading our luggage a breeze. Breakfast was very good...perhaps the best I had on our two week trip to Costa Rica. Kids complained that the pool was cold. I would stay again.
