Our villas are located approximately 40 minutes from downtown La Fortuna, in a more secluded area—perfect for those looking to enjoy an authentic experience surrounded by nature and tranquility.

The total drive from town is about 15 km (9 miles), and the last 7 km (4.3 miles) are on a rural gravel road. This part of the journey is truly part of the adventure: lush green landscapes, fresh air, and the feeling of leaving the noise behind as you approach something special.

We recommend a high-clearance vehicle, SUV, or 4x4, especially during the rainy season, for a more comfortable drive.

The view was unbelievable. The trip to the property was treacherous. From LaFortuna it may only be 10 miles, but it will take you at least 40 minutes and that is during the day with ideal weather. Do not attempt to drive this after dark. Because of this, we made sure to be back at the property by dark, after arriving there, only once, during the dark. They do serve breakfast a dinner and it is good. If you are going for a romantic get away, this is ideal!

The views from this property are stunning; however, if you are going to rent this location, it is important that you know the driveway/road it is located on is about 5km rock road that takes roughly 30 minutes to drive. Bring everything you need with you because there is no stores or food close to the rental.

When they say that 4x4 with high clearance is required, it is no joke. At least if you turn from Rt 142 driving from Monteverde. 6km of off roading at crawl speed. Fun if you are prepared. The road from the opposite direction is better paved, but you would still feel more comfortable in a SUV. Google does not estimate driving time on bad roads correctly. Expect extra time needed at the end. The place is small and basic, but clean. And the views are simply amazing. You oversee the valkey and the volcano throught the glass wall. The host offered to have dinner and breakfast delivered, but our communications was a bit delayed, so we went without. Bring your own food, or request in advance. Thank you for having us, we had a great time!
