Room very small. No shower in bathroom. Told all bathrooms were the same. Restaurant service poor. Breakfast bar very poor value for money

Tranquil and comfortable autoroute stop-off.

Perfect for a very comfortable, relaxed, gastronomic stop-off on journey from S-W France to London. A really characterful place that is easy to get to from the Autoroute but is tranquil, with extensive grounds that are perfect for a dog-walk prior to departure.

Hotel is excellent but pricy. Nice for an overnight stay on a special occasion. The menu is not very extensive so you need to be a 'foodie' to enjoy it.

Nice to be in a real castle.

It is a little out of town off the highway. The hotel itself is well kept with a staff that seems to live near or on the premises. Spent 4 nights and was very satisfied.

the chateau hotel is very nice settle in a vast land excellent for a nice walk. The room is good enough. The dinner is served either outside or inside. The dining room is really quite and cosy, the food is delicious. Very nice the lady who welcomed us with a nice smile and good manner.

Hôtel très agréable et restaurant exceptionnel.

Situé dans un très beau cadre et avec beaucoup de charme nous le recommandons. Le table est excellente et d'un bon rapport qualité/prix. Nous aurions souhaité une chambre un peu plus spacieuse et une salle de bains dotée d'une meilleure robinetterie. Nous y retournerons volontiers.

Meget fint og smukt hotel. Der er meget stille. Det ligger tæt på trafikvej og man kan ikke cykle derfra. Der ligger ingen restauranter tæt på, så der er kun på hotellet.

Hôtel très agréable passé juste une nuit mais on a pu profiter des espaces pour se détendre jusqu'à 12h ! Dommage que l'on ai pas pu manger au restaurant. Penser à réserver à l'avance. Petit déjeuner très bien. Restaurants l'auberge solognote excellente à la ferte saint aubin

Unfortunately we are not. We could smell dog in the bar and all other guests had dogs. Food not as good as expected.

Hotel of character in need of refurbishment

The hotel staff were very friendly and made every effort to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The restaurant was clearly popular with local residents no doubt because of the quality of the food, which was very good. The only drawback was the state of the hotel itself, which is badly in need of sympathetic refurbishment.

Service impeccable Le repas au Restaurant du Château est exquis au niveau de la présentation, du plat, de goût ainsi que du service. Petit déjeuner très généreux. Petites retenues : matelas semble King size mais une ligne de renfoncement entre les deux matelas, petites toilettes et l’on entend les bruits sur l’extérieur. Conclusion : malgré de petites imperfections, c’est un endroit très privilégié qui est très bien à découvrir ou redécouvrir

Good hotel, terrible restaurant!

Good points: Hotel itself was fine, quite a nice atmosphere and the bed was extremely comfortable. Bad points: We would not recommend the restaurant. Extremely pretentious atmosphere, unnecessary, unprofessional, very rude service (from a certain elderly lady who turned her back on us mid sentence because we didn't order apéritif at € 14.00 each!) bland, uninteresting food. So bad in fact it took much effort to get through the thoroughly unenjoyable, uninspiring three course meal. Boring food, rude service and poor value for money = spoilt evening!

excellent stop over location

The hotel was an excellent location to stay on our trip through to the south of France. The staff were all very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Our evening meal was excellent - finely cooked French cuisine.
