"Very clean and new hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There is no bars and restaurants, so that may be slightly inconvenient for some travelers, but the friendly hotel staff will assist your needs. Surrounded great nature. We had a big window with Mt Aso’s view. It was great hotel! "

"This hotel seems to have lost its mojo. I think it might have been excellent in the 50s and 60s but today it’s a bit outdated and drab. The older staff do not speak any English some of the younger staff need to be called to translate. The room had no character but the view out the window was pretty nice. The saving grace was the dinner and breakfast buffet. The reason I stayed here was it was the only hotel near Kumamoto that had a room on a Saturday night. At $350 I expected more. "
