Make use of the massage we had the suite and it had pool in itself almost felt like staying in a villa by the lakeside Food was good but better do not go for evening buffet if you are not a heavy eater but order from the room menu boating time is arnd 5.00 PM so be aware of that when booking time for massage the staff was very welcoming and helpful and always had a smile on their faces

Was peaceful and enjoyable stay. Staff was extremely helpful and was willing to assist with any special requests. There were activities at the resort that were suitable for all ages. The food was amazing and had large variety. Overall a great stay and will definitely come back

Grand Gokulam Kumarakom is truly magnificent. The location on the backwaters is breathtaking, and the architecture, with its beautiful use of wood and traditional design, makes the entire property feel special. What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff were exceptional, always attentive, genuinely warm, and constantly looking for ways to help. The level of hospitality was beyond anything I expected. The food was also among the best I’ve had at a hotel. The breakfast buffet had an incredible variety of options, and everything we tried was delicious. We stayed in a lake-view cottage, and it honestly felt like living like a king. Waking up to those serene, breathtaking views of the backwaters was an experience in itself. Overall, Grand Gokulam Kumarakom is a truly exceptional property. Beautiful surroundings, stunning architecture, outstanding service, and fantastic food — everything came together to make our stay unforgettable. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious experience in Kumarakom.

The staff here is just amazing! Always warm, smiling and friendly. Kudos to the mangement and staff for making the resort so welcoming and we get the sense that the staff is also very happy to be there and provide the best service I have experienced worldwide!

From the moment we walked in, we felt like family. This is paradise. We only had 24 hours but they were the most relaxing. The people, facilities, food, drinks and the whole experience was exceptional! We were celebrating our anniversary and they went above and beyond to make it special!! Anju, Vasha and so many others (wish I knew their names) were wonderful.

Great pool and clean new hotel

A very clean and new hotel which exceeded my expectations from the pictures. The pool is particularly amazing, with views over the lake, and we basically had the pool area to ourselves for 2 days. The WiFi does not reach to the pool area and some other areas of the hotel. The restaurant food was good. The staff were friendly but we sometimes we did not get our orders as requested. There was also no one by the pool to take food/drink orders even though a pool bar was advertised. The rooms were a decent size, with good aircon and very comfortable beds.

Loved this property the only improvement for us would be the dinning area to have lower and more ambient lighting to creat a better atmosphere and have the availability of wine with dinner. The bar area was not able to offer many cocktail selection. Kerela has odd alcohol rules not conducive to foreigners. They did provide a small selection of Indian wines but only for consuming in the referectory style dinning room. Other than that the hotel is lovely and the staff were the best so far on our trip 3 weeks so far.

This is barely a 5 star. They are trying hard, but mot quite there yet. No alcohol license. Food is not versatile, and is very spicy. No fire hydrant in the rooms, the main door has an half an inch gap flrom the floor. The 110V outlet does not accommodate the larger prong of US devices, light switches are not very intuitive, smoking on premises by landscape staff, landscape stones/pavers are unsafe and need gap refills. Postives - great traditional breakfast, attentive and prompt staff, very clean, espresso machine, great location.
