Location Set on the hillside overlooking the sea, the residence is only a 20-minute walk from the stunning Kvarner Gulf, famous for its beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters. Kostrena Beach and Zurkovo Beach are both close by. The local diving school (19-minute walk) can arrange scuba diving and snorkelling around the bay.
If you can tear yourself away from the coast, there is a lot of history to explore. Kraljevica (18 minutes) has not one, but two, castles as well as the Adriatic’s oldest shipbuilding yard and several excellent restaurants and cafés. The port of Bakar (13 minutes) is on the way to Kraljevica, and is known for its harbour-front restaurants, which are ideal for an evening out.
Rijeka (14 mins) also makes a fascinating day out. Croatia’s main port has plenty of interesting places to visit. For self-catering the market (Monday to Saturday mornings) is worth a trip. Here you can find local produce to prepare and enjoy back at home.
Rijeka International Airport is just 25 minutes away, over the Krk bridge.
