This property is a great spot for a cozy weekend relaxing and catching up with visiting friends. The kitchen is spacious and perfect for cooking big meals, and we all fit at the ample dining table. What a good space for playing games! There was also plenty of space for us all the hang out upstairs together, but the game room and movie area downstairs provided a perfect respite for those who wanted a little quiet time, or when a few folks wanted to watch their own show while others watched a movie upstairs. We also really enjoyed the hot tub. I admit, we were a bit intimidated by the check information, since it listed exact dollar amounts of fees incurred for a whole list of potential damages. It was not that we anticipated causing any damage, but none of us had encountered a rental that listed out the fees that way, so it seemed like the owners might be very strict. We were surprised, then, to find that the house, while clean, was not immaculate. We were very diligent and careful to report any existing issues (e.g stained linens, torn pillow) when we arrived, out of concern that we’d be charged. As it turns out, Roxana didn’t seem strict at all when we communicated after check-in, and was quite gracious. She even sent the handyman over with donuts the next morning to apologize for the fact that the housekeepers had left the house with only one roll of TP for multiple bathrooms. Oh, and she offered to send over TP the evening of our arrival, we just declined, as we’d already sent one of our group to the store for groceries, anyway. We ultimately found our host to be accommodating and gracious, the house to meet our needs. We all enjoyed a fun and comfortable weekend.
