"A beautiful and peaceful property. A welcome basket and a loaf of bread was a wonderful surprise. This was definitely a home away from home. We have stayed in many vacation rentals and this home is by far the best equipped one we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Karen, the host was very responsive and we did have the pleasure of meeting her Dad who lives nearby. He was an absolute delight to chat with."

"My granddaughter and I stayed here for 2 nights. We really loved it! Though we had some trouble with reception in the general area we thought our stay was fantastic. We were screeched in by the local community and that was one of the very best experiences of our entire Newfoundland trip! This tiny community is really the greatest example Of a traditional friendly Newfoundland fishing village! The little shop next to Johnny’s place had fantastic prices and the aquarium was very educational and enjoyable. The Fox Island trail head is only steps away from the boat house. We enjoyed sitting on the boathouse deck and watching the jelly fish and crabs zipping about in The water. The boat house was comfortable and enjoyable but we left wondering if possibly it’s haunted. The doors were opening and shutting on their own a lot when we first arrived and there was pounding on the walls - sort of like aggressive knocking. The boat house is on stilts so even if someone had been around - which no one was- they would not have been able to reach the walls of the boathouse. After we were screeched in by the locals, however,the doors and knocking on the walls stopped! Perhaps we have big imaginations and assigned a ghost to some non ghostly occurrences BUT we left with a good story to tell and after doing a bit of research we added the dead man’s pond of Fox island to our wonderful ghost story. Of all of our stays in Newfoundland, the tickle cove boat house became our most memorable !"

"The house is a sweet and clean property full of ocean decorations. Owner's love of this house is everywhere. It is especially fit for family with kids since it provides toys, books and even a big dollhouse to keep kids fun. Thanks Bonnie! Your work makes our tour more memorable!"
Ocean View Chapel Port Rexton with Sauna 2BR

"a room with a view! Love the views from these windows in the living room, especially in the serene morning and in the golden sunset. Also like the sauna on the high ground at the back of the house, which helps release some of the fatigue after our hike on the fantastic Skerwink Trail. Overall, it is a great place to stay in Port Rexton."
