"This was a lovely quiet location which was very relaxing. The property we stayed in was lovely,my only disappointment was the bed was uncomfortable and both pillows were really flat. This however would not put us off staying again,we would just bring along our own pillows,and although the bed wasn’t very comfy,we could cope with this just for one night. Other than this ,we enjoyed our stay,and would definately return ."

"Extremely disappointed. Advertised as one thing (apparently Hotels.com won’t let me say what, so I have had to re word my initial complaint), when I checked in, I was given something completely different. Suffice to say, when I booked I was not expecting to be staying in a bedroom in someone’s house. Unable to get a refund dispute the proof I supplied that the booking was misrepresented. "The room was comfortable and clean, though the bathroom is dated. The air conditioning struggled on one of the hottest days of the year so far. The fitness centre and pool are excellent facilities, and breakfast was great, though the evening dining menu was limited, with average food quality. All staff encountered were helpful and friendly."

"Car park was very small and chaotic with many cars driving around unable to park. There was no space designated to unload luggage which was a huge problem as I had my daughter and all of her bridal attire. Had it not been for a wonderful member of staff named Joy, we would’ve been clueless as to where to park and would have had a long walk with all our luggage. Thank you so much Joy, you were amazing, and you went above and beyond. I’m very grateful."

"A memorable stay for the best reasons. If any criticism, I feel the bathroom taps in our room were very difficult to turn, as they were narrow and round. Also there were no grab rails on the wall facing the bath, so for an elderly customer, the process of getting out of the bath was somewhat hazardous. We'll come again!"

"A cheap and cheerful overnight halt. Clean rooms, nice and quiet too if you're out the back of the hotel. Room remained cool during the Whitsun weekend heat. Have stayed here twice before, so it's a known quantity for us. The only issue this stay, and we didn't notice until the morning, was there was only one bath towel provided in the room - so, check on arrival and ask reception if needed."

"The room was very comfortable and location was great. The front desk person who checked us in was very nice. The bed was comfortable and I slept like a baby. We didn't try the pub next door but I'm sure it was great. The only complaint is that the bathroom grout had some mildew and should be cleaned a bit better to make it look cleaner. Otherwise great value and location. I'd definitely stay there again."

"There is almost never anyone at reception so you have to wait five or 10 minutes. I booked a privilege room that supposed to have free bottles of water in the fridge. There were none, I called reception and asked for some to be brought to me, nothing happened. On my way out two hours later, I spoke to a different person at reception who was quite polite and told me she will ask house keeping again. I was very surprised that in the 24 hours I was in the hotel, I didn’t have any water whatsoever. Terrible in my view. The air conditioning in my room didn’t work in the hottest weekend of the year. All in all, very disappointed."
