"The property was clean and tidy. The beds had clean sheets and there were enough towels for everyone in our group. The washrooms were stocked with toilet paper. We had some difficulty operating the shower in the master bedroom (could just be that we were from another country and we have different types of showers). The other shower worked just fine. "There is plenty of space, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, for a family of six to stay here comfortably. But what we found interesting was it was a little sparse on the basics like towels, dishes, cups, etc. The maximum amount of people are six. We were only each given one towel no extra hand towels, no face cloths.Some of the standard table settings there were only six no more so if you wanted to use two glasses at dinner, you had to wash one to use it again. No dual beverages at dinner ha ha...

Temple Gate Hotel

"Hotel was nice when windows were closed. Our room faced the parking lot. Either the window open, you heard the bus stop below until late hours. The buses would idle and back up with their beepers. Then, early morning, trucks would start with their deliveries. I hated the location of the room and the noise. However, the hotel was very nice, the staff great and the location awesome. If you stay here on hot days, I recommend requesting a room away from the parking lot."

"Our stay at this property exceeded our expectations. The beautiful setting and old grand building were a beautiful site as we arrived. Staff are very helpful in booking reservations ahead of our arrival. Bathroom was fantastic in the family suite with big soaking tub and jets. The dinner at the restaurant was very memorable treat and all staff was incredibly helpful and pleasant. Both continental breakfast and the cooked breakfast were delicious. The mini horses at the back were an absolute sweet treat. Proximity to the airport on the departure date made for a very smooth travel day. You could see the occasional plane coming in, but you couldn't hear any noise disturbance. "

"Very clean room and en suite. Breakfast was excellent with many choices. Staff and family were helpful and kind. Castle and shops nearby. The castle and grounds worth the tour. The creamery pub had great food and entertainment. We would recommend staying at Parkhouse and visiting Bunratty!"

"Upon arrival, the hotel grounds are well-presented & maintained, with a welcoming entrance. The decor is stylish, and the building feels contemporary & clean. Our room was very spacious, with a really comfortable bed, all amenities required and a modern bathroom. A genuine highlight for me was the lit mirror that also has Bluetooth - meaning music while we showered and got dressed! Breakfast is a generous spread of high-quality hot options - thick cut bacon, homemade hashbrowns, eggs to order - to cold choices of smoked salmon, meats, fruits, yoghurt, cereal, scones & more! I also noted a really great gluten-free range. The coffee is delicious and the fresh juices were lovely too. Possibly one of the best hotel breakfasts I have enjoyed. The staff were also very attentive, clearing plates, replenishing stock & helping out clientele. As an avid gym goer, the fitness suite was an important fixture, and it was perfect to get a good workout in. There is a mix of cardio equipment, a range of dumbells up to 30kg, benches, a few weighted machines, cables including lateral pull down, & a smith machine. Easily got a good workout in. The pool is relaxing, the sauna, steam and hot tub are great too. Very chilled vibe. One downfall for me was that upon booking, I wasn't made aware that spa treatments weren't available - and I was planning on booking some in."

"One of the best breakfasts we had on the trip. Located directly across from the beach, following our surf lessons which was perfect. We stayed in one of the cottages at the back and it was exceptionally spacious for a family of four. We would’ve liked to have stayed longer, but we were moving on to another area of the country."
