I imagine one day this might become a nice boutique hotel. Until then if traipsing up a few flights of ancient moldy stairs to enjoy a rooming house vibe surrounded by a substantial unhoused community is your thing, this hotel is for you.

I stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed it. The hotel is under renovations so no elevator. But a/c worked great in the room and my room was fully renovated with everything being new. It was a great experience for me and my partner overall and I loved the covered indoor parking in downtown kenora!

The outside looked pretty bad but the room itself was pretty good nice and recently renovated it was nice a/c was good the only thing I had a problem with was the amount of traffic coming into the 3rd floor woke up like 4 times but the bed was nice and the shower as well. Not a bad stay for one night and it’s also around every thing. Plus the staff was really nice there

This historic hotel needs extensive work .. hallways dirty , boarded up windows etc. Room was modern and clean but elevator not working. It appears in October the city will take it over. When restored it will be amazing.

On my through to Ontario from Saskatchewan with 2 little kids. This was a dive. Someone was smoking on the same floor. Just an unpleasant stay after driving 12 hours.

We had a good stay at the Kenricia Hotel while travelling with my son. The hotel is still undergoing some renovations, but our room was completely renovated and felt nice and new. The room was generally clean, although the floor could have been cleaned a little better. The staff were friendly and helpful, and parking was convenient. The air conditioning worked well, which was especially nice during our stay. Overall, we had a good experience and would stay here again.

Merci au gestionnaire qui a accepté de canceller notre réservation. C'est un endroit très très terrible à tous les points de vue. Expedia.ca ne devrait pas proposer cet endroit pour hébergement.

Like the reviews said, building is under construction, but room was renovated. The staff was so friendly and explained the building situation. Walked the stairs, strong odors, the room was clean, new bathroom, unfortunately very limited hot water.

To be fair, the room was quite good, recently updated and clean. The pictures on the website did really reflect the condition of the hotel. Again, to be fair it is an old building and the new owners are slowly trying to fix it up but they have a long ways to go. Building security is quite good despite the current state. We wish then well in their efforts to bring the building back, it has the potential to become an attractive boutique hotel. I expect back in its glory days it was quite a desireable place to stay

Driving by the hotel alone made me decide that I didn't want to stay there. It looks like an SRO, which is what we in Vancouver call flophouse hotels. I booked it because I was looking forward to supporting a locally owned business, rather than a chain. Don't make the same mistake I did.
