The Walton House is a lovely place to stay. It is well appointed, clean, comfortable, and perfectly located to enjoy the quaint town of Kennett Square and to conveniently access Winterthur and Longwood Gardens. The hosts are attentive and responsive.
Definitely the location, 2 blocks from town central and the great restaurants within walking distance. Spent a lot of timr in the back room overlooking the garden and patio.

Beautiful historic home in center of Brandywine Valley and attractions. Walking distance to great restaurants. Very responsive hosts. Comfortable bedrooms and updated bathroom and kitchen.
This property isn’t just perfect, it is also an historical home. So comfortable and inviting. So convenient to the square shopping and restaurants. We are already planning to return, if you will have us.
Even family who did not stay with us loved the house. Twelve family members had dinner there several times. We liked the fact that we were close to the shopping are and near to family who live in Kennett and Media.clise to the main shopping are
The house was well represented and so beautifully decorated. We had everything we needed, the location around the corner from the shops and within a lovely walkable neighborhood allowed us to explore by foot as well as a great jumping off point to get to places farther away
The home is wonderful and decorated beautifully. The house was clean and appointed with everything you could need to be comfortable during your stay. Location was great too and walkable to cute shops and restaurants. It was the perfect setting for a little early Christmas get together with family.

Very cute property. Interior is charming. Very tidy while also welcoming. tastefully updated. :)
Family was together to attend a weekend wedding celebration. We prefer renting a house rather than securing several rooms at a hotel. More room to hang out spend time together.
This rental fit the bill. An unknown extra…it was the mushroom festival.
A very nice weekend!
Thanks!
I grew up in the area but come back for family visits.
I’ve always loved older homes and this home is a fantastic example of a renovated older home. It’s a classic 180 old home that has had multiple extensions over the years giving the home a unique feel. The kitchen is the center of the home and with a great setup for doing large family meals. The house is two blocks from excellent restaurants on the main strip of Kennet Square. Kennet Square is a classic charming old colonial town that is going through a downtown renaissance. Very memorable trip that my entire family enjoyed.!
This is a very nice property in an excellent location. We were there to visit Longwood Gardens for Christmas. Also visited Winterthur and the Barnes Foundation in Philly. Location was ideal. Shoos and restaurants in Kennett Sq are great and this property makes walking there perfect. The house is large, it wasn’t nice out so we were unable to take advantage if the nice outside area but in summer it would be great. Everything was clean and bery well stocked. Beds were comfortable and we appreciated the white noise machine in the master bedroom to cover up traffic noises. My only issue was the furniture is not ideal for taller, older folks like us. Everything is fairly low to the ground and the couch is super soft and difficult to get out of. And the fireplace doesn’t seem usable which was a disappointment, But we had a great stay and enjoyed visiting the area and the house made all of that easier.
The house is beautiful with the perfect mix of historic charm and modern amenities. I am a light sleeper and I liked that the bedrooms seemed to have good blinds. Because it is on a major street, there was some traffic noise. I was able to drown that out with a white noise machine. The beds and pillows were all very comfortable. The only issue I had was on the day of checkout. I wasn't aware that the roads would be shut down for a half marathon. We couldn't leave at the required check-in time. I had to figure out which roads were closing and what time we'd be able to leave. After some back and forth, the property manager did allow us to checkout later. After I asked for help in trying to understand the marathon map and which roads would be closed when, they sent me instructions on how I would be able to get out. I am glad I saw the signs for the road closures, because otherwise I wouldn't have known.
Great location to walk into town and to go explore the entire Brandywine area. Great kitchen and back room to sit and chat with family. 3 nice size bedrooms.
This house made visiting my dad recovering from a medical procedure feel more of a "vacation" for my pre teen and teen kids. Exactly what we were looking for.
The Walton House is a great place to stay. Plenty of space with 2 1/2 baths and multiple bedrooms, and in a great location. It seems like everything in the house is high-end, especially in the kitchen. The hosts provided all the amenities (including provisions in the kitchen, paper products, etc.) that we could have asked for. Would certainly stay here again if back in the area.
