Couple trip

We had an amazing stay at this property. The host was very nice and friendly. Set in lovely surroundings, the room was spacious and warm and the shower was nice too! We had all facilities needed and ample parking for the car. Would highly recommend staying here!

The property is beautiful, and the host was very kind and helpful. We are Americans and were unsure how the sauna worked, and the host got us straightened out and refused a large tip. The lake was perfect for a quick swim in the morning. We had everything we needed, and the location is close to plenty of hiking and disc golf.

Arctic paradise, northern lights on your doorstep!

This place and the surrounding area was the highlight of our trip to Europe! The accommodation was absolutely spectacular, roomy and cozy at the same time, and the family that runs the place was very friendly. The Arctic cold doesn't even seem like a big deal with the in-cabin sauna at the end of the day. I can't reccomend this place enough! One morning we even awoke to the aurora borealis alert on my phone, went outside and saw the northern lights right from the cabin's doorstep. We added another night while we were here because we liked it so much and I wish we could have stayed much longer!

The accommodation has a great location (close to the national park Pyhä), clean and check in and out was seamless. The only downside was that they were „hidden costs. You have to be aware that you have to pay ex. a flat fee for bedding/ towels. It wasn’t much, (10€ pP) but would have been nice to know beforehand. Regardless, I would recommend staying there

I definitely recommend stay in Kuukiuru. Cozy house, nice river view, good location. I had a short stay for overnight but it was very pleasant so I'd like to come back here for a longer stay.

Perustason mökki, joka odottelee laajamittaista pintaremonttia. Alkuperäisessä kunnossa olevat pinnat. "Täyskeittiö" oli aika vaatimaton ja erityisen hankala käyttää. Mikro, kahvinkeitin ja vedenkeitin käyttävät samaa pistorasiaa ja töpselin vaihto tuli tutuksi. Näiden laitteiden sijoittaminen pöytätasolle portaiden alle oli tosi hankala käytön kannalta. Täysketiiöön odotin kuuluvan sähköuuni, mutta ei sitä ollut. Sauna ja kylppäri oli tilavat, mutta esim. sauna paneelit oli täynnä tummia läikkiä, liekö homeläikkiä. Majoittuminen oli parvella, jonne kipuaminen pystytikkaita ei huonojalkaiselta onnistu. Alhaalla on levitettävä vudesohva, jos haluaa joka päivä sijata petin, niin se varmaan on ok. Periaatteessa siellä oli kaikki mitä tarvii, mutta aika nuhjuinen kuva jäi.

Paikka oli yhdelle pihamaalle rakennettu keskittymä. Mökki oli siis kurkihirrestä kahtia jaettu puolikas. Varsinainen nukkumatila ylhäällä parvessa, joka oli saunan yläpuolella ja luonnollisesti kuumui kovin. Sinne johti erittäin jyrkät portaat. Oleskelutilan sohva oli luonnollinen nukkumapaikka, tosin hieman epämukava. Keittomahdollisuus vaatimaton. Kuuluu sarjaan mökit. Kulunut, hieman suttuinen ja epäkäytännöllinen, mutta kahdelle riittävä ja kodikas. Hintaansa nähden linjassa. Ystävällinen palvelu respassa josta tuli vai avaimen nouto ja palautus. Jokainen lisäpalvelu oli hinnoiteltu takkapuista lähtien. Sijainti hyvä!

Patikointiloman majoituspaikka

Majoituimme 4 yötä Kuukiurussa. Päivät patikoimme Pyhä-Luostolla, jonne Kuukiurusta oli kohtuullinen ajomatka. Huone oli siisti ja varusteluun kuului oma vessa ja kylppäri, sekä jääkaappi, mikro ja kahvin-/vedenkeitin, jotka riittivät hyvin omien eväiden kanssa retekilevälle. Sen kummempa palveluita emme kaivanneet, huone oli siisti ja rauhallinen ja hintalaatusuhde ok.
