安心のホテル
キングサイズベットが一つの部屋に宿泊。 街中にありますが、埃っぽさはなく、入口~ガーデンを見ながらエントランスがあり カトマンズのホテルでは、かなり良い方です。 朝食も、美味しく毎日少しづつ違った食材が並び、味も満足でした。 ディナーも一度食べましたが、ワインも揃っています。 地震の影響か、修復工事もしていますが、安心して泊まれるホテルです。 電気は、朝8時に切り替えしている様で一旦消えますが、すぐ復旧していました。 お湯も温かく、湯量も排水も気になるほど悪くはなかったですが、備え付けのドライヤーが 使えなかったので、☆一つ減点でした。 電気コンセントは、シェーバー用のが使えたので、スマホやデジカメの充電は大丈夫でした。

インドとの国境閉鎖中いうこともあって、一週間に停電が9回、レストランはほとんど閉鎖、アメニティは限定的という状態でしたが、開いているレストランはとても美味しく、スタッフのサービスはなかなか良く、街中の喧騒から逃れられて、まぁまぁ快適に過ごせました。 ミネラルウォーターのペットボトルが毎日2本届けられるのはこの国では非常にありがたかったです。

I will never stay at this property again. The floors in the rooms are very dirty. The Front Desk charged my card 3 weeks ago and I am still trying to get my money back on my AMX. The room was prepaid with Expedia and the hold funds went thru and was not refunded. I have been working with the FO MGR-Krishna Sapkota. I emailed the hotel again today and no response. I will have to dispute with AMX at this point. It should not take 3 weeks to get a charge reversed. The amount charged was $417.66 in US Dollars. I requested to speak to the GM of the hotel and Krishna said he would handle it.

All of the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The food in each of the restaurants we tried was quite good. The Indian in particular was very good. Again serving staff were very helpful. The rooms are starting to show some age - but they are comfortable no major issues. However, both the mattress and pillows could be updated. The pillows were lumpy, not as comfortable as you'd expect in a Crown Plaza. We did request new pillows, which we brought to our room within minutes - but they were very similar to the original ones. Overall a comfortable property with good staff.

Beautiful property is an oasis in otherwise teeming Kathmandu. Large, green area to stroll or just relax. Safe with tons of military and police support. Absolutely perfect staff--polite and friendly. Rooms large and well furnished. Quiet. Good shopping for souvenirs in gift shop and basement. Three very nice restaurants. Great pool area (sit and read now or swim when it's warmer). I would gladly stay there again.

Old Hotel with Huge Garden
We arrived during election day in Kathmandu (May 14) and we learned at the airport arrival that all taxi services are cancelled and even the tourist info desk was closed. Hence, we didn't know how to get to the hotel. A tourist guide of another group was kind enough to help us so he called the hotel and somebody arranged for our transport. We should have been informed ahead by the hotel that there will be no public transport at the airport when we arrive because of election day. If not for the helpful tourist guide we wouldn't know how to get to the hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel we were standing in the lobby for several minutes because the check-in clerk was attending to somebody else who appeared to be arguing. Since we noticed that it will take some time we interrupted and the hotel desk called the lady sitting in another desk who already saw us earlier standing and waiting at the lobby. She should have attended to us when she saw that we have been waiting for some time. Upon check-in we were given an additional key for another room in case we don't like the room assigned to us. The room they gave us was smelly, had a defective toilet bowl and some broken furniture so we checked the other room and it was newer and cleaner so we chose this one. The first room was obviously old and needed renovation and we should not have been given this one when there are better ones available in the hotel.

Poor rooms but great breakfast
The descriptions of the room was mialeading on Hotels.com website. I booked an executive rooms with 2 Double beds. When I reaches there they were 2 single beds. We were family of 3. The rooms were small with see through bathroom window. The bathroom blinders wouldnt cover the window completely so you can watch your family member using loo or taking shower - how embarrasing. This was one of their recently upgraded executive room. I asked for refund for next 2 nights but the manager refused. He finally gave us old delux room which was somewhat bigger. He provided us with extra bed - the extra bed was not comfy, it felt like a third world hospital folding bed. The room was dusty at placed and bathroom was tires looking and old with metals which were actually rusting. The shower was so so. Staff were great so was breakfast. The garden reataurant was costly with poor food quality. Next time I will avoid this hotel at all costs.

Excellent property - beautiful and comfortable
The hotel is beautifully maintained and we loved the gardens. Staff is extremely courteous. We had a very comfortable stay for 4 nights. Food quality needs improvement especially at the indian restaurant kakori.

Just what we needed
After 2 weeks slogging your way to Everest Base Camp this was bliss. A wonderful hotel, beautiful surrounds, great restaurants and fantastic staff who can't do enough for you. It's a 15-20 min taxi to the Thamel area and not much in the immediate surrounds but you won't want to leave.

Nice quiet setting in the middle of busy Kathmandu
The hotel is lovely with good restaurants. The rooms are nice, comfortable and clean. The only issue we had was construction on the floor below our floor during the day. So it was a little noisy.

Keeps Improving
The Crowne Plaza is one of the nicer Kathamandu hotels though when compared to level of quality of Crowne Plaza's in other countries it falls short. They have been working on it though. Renovations have improved areas such as the resturant.

Pleasant time at Soaltee
We had a very pleasant stay. Really enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the warmth of the restaurant staff. The bathrooms are a little dated-especially the flush system !!

Very nice hotel and good for business people
Great hotel with friendly, professional staff who performed their jobs efficiently and effectively. I was so impressed by how the staff was able to manage the many diverse groups of clientele that came in every day - from large tour groups to airline staff to wedding and conference parties to individual business travelers like me. The hotel was always full during the time I was there for 9 days, but the service never faltered. This is a well-run hotel!

Worst ever view. Too formal a hotel .
Formality was the order of the day for this hotel so much so that you don't even feel welcome at this hotel. be it staff or the people at the reception they always seemed to be in a hurry to be at some place else rather than attending the customer standing in front of them. Surly not the class I expected it to be. View from the room was so pathetic that I am still wondering how could it stand so high up in list of Hotal to stay in Kathmandu. Never going back there.
