The property is an amazing two story 2-bedroom 2-bathroom town house in a gated "village". It looks brand new and is almost too white everywhere that we were afraid of walking on the carpets!
There's a lot to do around the area, it's half an hour away from the airport, roughly an hour from Kona and about an hour and a half from the East coast and Hilo. There's plenty of restaurants along the coast and in the hotel super-complexes (Hilton, Fairmont, Four Season).
The condo comes with beach fixings (snorkels, masks, fins, chairs, towels, coolers...) and some basic food necessities and extensive cooking equipment. Everything is top-notch except maybe some of the oils that should probably be thrown away.
There's a garage but you can't park your car in it but we certainly used it to store and dry our scuba dive gear. There was plenty of parking space when we were there outside the condo.
At night it's dead quiet, no traffic, just a few joggers facetiming on their phones without earphones. And birds early in the morning of course, but less than in other part of the island.
The A/C works well and was able to keep us at a cool 78 at night. The condo is not right at the ocean (it's about a 15 minute walk to the Fairmont Orchid's beach) so you don't get the ocean breeze that much.
The master bathroom upstairs only has a rain shower head and the pressure is very low making it difficult to wash one's hair. The one downstairs is fine with a hand-held and a lot of pressure.
Whoever installed the screen on the front door should have read the instructions better because it looks like it is backwards, making it very awkward to insert the key to open the door.
The condo comes with a magnetic card to access the beach club which has a beautiful not-too-crowded beach, a nice restaurant and bar and an awesome dive operation.
All in all an excellent experience.
