This place was hard to find so we called to clarify directions, and we were told if we didn't have a 4x4 that it wasn't possible to get to (which was NOT mentioned on the booking site on Expedia) We were left to scramble and find a place to stay last minute which was inconvenient and cost a lot more. We were also informed we would be given the money back but months later we still haven't seen it. "

Fiesta Resort Central Pacific - All Inclusive

10/10 Excellent

"Everything in Costa Rica takes some driving time. Don’t let the 1:20min drive from the airport discourage you. Buffet food is okay. Restaurants are good. Try the tuna tartare. Area around the resort is busy and industrial. Don’t waste your time driving around for souvenirs. There are no shops. The gift shop has average to low prices. Ask for coupons at check in. 10% off helps when you buy everything at once. Airport has nice souvenirs if you don’t want to hassle during your trip, but it will probably be 20% higher. Buy your souvenirs during your excursions. Don’t forget your Yetis’s or Stanley’s, Bars fill them with drinks. Rooms are okay, but cleaned daily. Rent a car and explore. We traveled to Monteverde, Waterfalls, Jaco…at our own pace. Want to see monkeys, go to playa Manta. The entertainment at the resort is hilarious. They’re interactive and remember your name. I would go back. It’s mostly a locals place, but if you want to swim, drink, eat, and laugh you’ll have a good time. They do offer things to do and eat till 130-2am. I would go back, and see the Volcano. During our stay the roads were not passable. 8 out of 10 for me. The value $ was amazing."

"Family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 kids, we stayed for a week. The view from our room was absolutely stunning with beautiful sunsets over the ocean every night. Very quiet property, only sounds were birds, jungle and ocean waves. We really enjoyed having our own private pool and used it every day. The room was very comfortable, and it was nice to have our own kitchenette. We ended up cooking several of our own meals due to not having many choices of restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay here again! "

"We loved our stay at the Cerro Lodge. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, and wonderful for bird watching. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The restaurant was a very comfortable place to be, and the pizza was delicious! Between birdwatching, floating in the pool, and enjoying the restaurant/observation deck, we were able to fully relax at Cerro Lodge!"

"My family of six stayed in this home for 10 days, and it was a wonderful experience. The house was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate all of us, and the neighborhood was both quiet and safe. The home was well-equipped with everything we needed. Jeff, our host, even left sugar and coffee for us—by the way, the coffee was excellent!Communication with Jeff was smooth and easy. He was warm, welcoming, and readily provided helpful information and recommendations throughout our stay. We truly felt at home and would gladly recommend his property time and time again.One tip for future guests: if you're arriving at night, as we did, consider coordinating with Jeff in advance to see if grocery shopping can be done and delivered prior to your arrival. Many stores in the area close early, and you may want to have some essentials like drinking water on hand when you get in."

"Henry was a terrific host. He gave us lots of advice on restaurants and attractions nearby and he responded quickly to any questions we had. The house was nicely situated on the ocean - we sat under the veranda watching the waves roll in, the lightning strike and the ships go by. There was everything we needed in the house. It was a bit out of the way - quite far from Monteverde for example. We rented a car and would have been lost without it.We missed the sunsets because of the weather so will have to come back again!"
