My husband and I stayed here for one night on our honeymoon. It was lovely! The owner was not around, but the staff at the Gardens were well informed and very helpful. We arrived nearly 3 hours early so the cabin wasn't ready yet, but they let us wander around the gardens and made us feel very welcome. Jefferson City isn't much more than an exit off the highway so there isn't anything else to do in the area. However, if you are passing through or want a woodland retreat, this is the perfect place.
One note: perhaps I missed the obvious since I was planning a wedding, but this is more like glamping than a house. Screens on the windows don't quite fit and there is no running water. But there is electricity, a table, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and water jugs. (Bathroom is up the walk a few steps). Additionally, there is a lovely porch and many lovely places to sit throughout the gardens. This is a wonderful place to enjoy the weather and the outdoors!
