About this property
The 3 Bears Cabin - an Adirondack adventure
Located ten minutes from the skiing at Whiteface Mt. and twenty-five minutes to the tourist attractions of Lake Placid, The 3 Bears Cabin, is a tranquil getaway location that is surrounded by as much excitement as you would wish to explore.
The 3 Bears Cabin is set in the solitude of the pine trees, yet is easily accessible, and a destination for family and friends. The Cabin is constructed using traditional post and beam craftsmanship where particular attention was paid to maintaining an airtight and draft free environment. The all-wood interior will surround you with a warm and comfortable feeling that can only be experienced in a home that is constructed in the post and beam fashion.
The main floor features cathedral-ceilings, and an open kitchen floor plan allows guests to interact while cooking and dining.
When it is time to retire for the evening, The 3 Bears Cabin will accommodate 6 guests and well trained dogs.
The cabin features two downstairs bedrooms, each with massive cedar mortise and tenon, queen-sized beds. The beds were crafted in the rustic tradition but the subtle pillow-top mattress will certainly soothe your tired muscles and ensure a restful night's sleep.
If one is looking to accommodate additional guests there is a comfortable queen-sized futon, with extra thick mattress, situated in front of the glass-fronted wood stove. Though the guests who choose to sleep on the futon will not have a traditional bed, they will however, have the experience of falling asleep in front of the fireplace while gazing up into the beautiful post and beam rafters.
The 3 Bears Cabin also has a bath on each floor where one can take a hot shower and prepare for the adventures right at your doorstep.

This was our 3rd time staying at Three Bears and it was perfect as usual. The cabin is amazing. It’s in a great location (surrounded by woods) and only 15 minutes from Whiteface and about 30 minutes from Lake Placid. Will definitely be going back again.
We had a wonderful time at The 3 Bears Cabin. It was clean and comfortable. We loved the location as it was within driving distance of so many things. We would definitely stay again!
Beautiful inside. Had everything I needed for a comfortable stay for my pup and I. It’s in a very nice location. Quiet, room between neighbors, and only a half hour from lake placid. Thank you again for the stay! Would definitely recommend!
My son and I stayed with our dog and had a wonderful time. We enjoyed exploring the area, Cascade Mountain, Whiteface Mountain, Lake Placid, High Falls Gorge, so many outdoor places to enjoy. The cabin was perfect and very comfortable!
What a pleasant cabin in a terrific location. We loved the set up, the wood features and the layout. It was the perfect place to reconnect with my family and yet close enough to visit attractions. We will be back, this was the very best treat for us all!
Stayed here with my love over Valentine’s Day while he skied the face. Had to bring our dog last minute. The host was so gracious got back to us quickly for early check-in and let us bring our pup. The home was so beautiful and had everything we could’ve needed. Absolutely would stay here again.
The home was absolutely perfect for our family (3 adults, 2 kids and a dog). Extremely clean and very well stocked. Great location! Communication with the owner was also great. We look forward to coming back and would recommend to anyone!
Thank you for sharing your place with us. It was a perfect place for us while we were in NY supporting my son at the National USCSA race. Your place was warm, cozy and very comfortable. Thank you sharing your home with us.
Perfect cabin for a winter stay. Clean, tidy and comfortable. Kitchen is nicely arranged and great for cooking meals and baking brownies. 15 minutes from Wilmington Dam and 25-30 minutes from Lake Placid Village. Nathan provided a daily plow to handle the three consecutive nights of snow perfectly. Our dog loved it too. Just be prepared for stairs to get to the bedrooms or walk around them through the back. Would highly recommend. Would definitely stay again

Hot
For some reason the upstairs was ungodly hot. You couldn’t stay in to long because there were no air conditioners and it was July! The stairs down to the bedrooms were very steep so not got any anyone with knee or back issues. That being said it was cute cozy and clean.
Nice comfortable camp and quiet area, we enjoyed our stay.
Instructions for entry code didn’t match and confusing keypad on the door handle. No wood for Fire pit only 2-3 pieces of wood for wood stove. Recommend updating welcome sheet with internet codes and instructions for the multiple heating options and controls. Bedrooms in basement nice, but has a damp musty smell. musky smell.
3 Bears is very clean and in a peaceful place. I loved the layout of the upstairs - nice open concept. It was one of the best-stocked rentals I've been at with everything from kitchen items to band aides and bug spray! The only down side was the narrow, steep stairs to the down stairs bedrooms. We are in our 70's and in good shape but I can see where this could be a problem for someone who has any mobility issues. We could not get our German Shepherd to go down these stairs, but luckily there is a door leading outside for the downstairs so we could let him in that way at night to be near us. Everything else was great!
