Summer Family Vacation

I had my family and kids at the house for the week. It was very nice being right on the beach and not having to move all of our beach gear. House was awesome and Ward reality was very informative with everything going on. Will defenitly be back.

October NC get away

The location of this property was perfect. The set up of the home was nice. Privacy was a huge issue though. I thought with it being a duplex we would hear people. I did not realize the other side would actually be sitting on our deck & the stairs to the beach. At times it felt like we were on vacation with strangers. This was odd to me. *But they were nice people. So all was good. I think the main issue our family had, after renting numerous vacation homes, was the lack of supplies. There wasn’t even hand soap. No extra trash bags. No Kleenex or paper towel. We were given toilet paper for each bathroom. That was a plus! (But we did need to go buy more) Overall, nice trip. Weather was great. Location was perfect! But we now know, a duplex is not for us. The Diskin Family, NY

Property not as depicted

We were very disappointed with this property. The photos were beautiful and we were excited to visit. This was is our 5th time visiting Topsail within the past 24 months we were excited to arrive but very disappointed once we walked in. There were dead bugs all over the floors, there was urine in one of the toilets, the dishes in the cupboards were caked with food, the kitchen cabinets were all peeling, there were no screens in any sliding glass doors, the deck light was burned out, the towel bar in one bathroom was falling off, the toilet in one of the bathrooms leaked all over the floor, the shower heads were caked with limescale and did not spray but rather came out in one stream, the doorbell was broken and the servicemen who arrived to service the leaking toilet just walked in the house surprising us. They told us they tried the bell but it didn't work. Same with the maintenance man who showed up to change the air conditioner filter. He just walked in, surprising us as the bell was broken. There were holes in the window screens and the deck off the master bedroom was really not even usable as the concrete was peeling off and looked as if someone had taken a jackhammer to it. None of these maintenance issues were depicted in the property photos, otherwise I would have booked a different property. The location was nice and the beach was beautiful but this particular property was definitely not as advertised.
