「Originally I was a little worried when we found out that our room had no window--only a skylight--and it was rather warm. But Nicola (hope I've spelled that right) very kindly found us a much nicer room. Breakfast was good and the staff were all unfailingly pleasant and helpful to deal with. I like the history behind the place. It's been a hotel since the 1850s. It could do with a few touch-ups here and there but it was very comfortable and the fact that there was a bar right in the building was...

「The waiter serving 13/08/25 is fantastic. Stayed here a year ago, he remebered me, is very polite and attentive but not overbearing, profelfessional and down to earth. The reason I enjoyed my 1st stay. The front of house Charlie, is also fantastic, down to earth, personable and professional. The chef, begind closed doors is also clearly very good at their job, having stayed a few nights and sampling various parts of the menu, everything is very nicely cooked, presented and tasty.」
