“Aprovecha cada momento y no te pierdas ni un baile, al más allá no te podrás llevar nada” Éste es el dicho que se cuenta que figuraba en el relieve del famoso Tejadillo de Oro en el casco antiguo de Innsbruck. Se trata sólo de una suposición, porque hasta ahora, la inscripción no se ha podido descifrar con certeza – uno de los muchos secretos que envuelven al símbolo dorado de Innsbruck. Un símbolo del antiguo centro de Europa. Un reflejo de las contradicciones en tiempo de grandes cambios. El espléndido mirador fue encargado por el emperador Maximiliano I en 1500 y está recubierto con 2.657 tejas de cobre doradas al fuego, todas ellas originales. El casco antiguo gótico de Innsbruck, que se extiende por ambos lados del Tejadillo de Oro, apenas ha cambiado desde entonces.
