Velour Estate
While the layout of the home and the backyard are fantastic, our stay was disappointing. Unfortunately, we had some experiences that didn’t match the expectations of a luxury villa. To start, there is a restriction on the air conditioning that prevents you from setting the temperature below 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Given the property’s location in the desert, this limitation was both puzzling and uncomfortable. After much back and forth, the owner was able to resolve the issue in the end.In addition, the property wasn’t as clean as we had hoped – we found a hair in one of the beds, and dust was noticeable throughout the living spaces. We had scheduled additional cleanings prior to check in and unfortunately, received no flexibility from the cleaners to return to address these issues day of.We also found that the property was missing basic essentials. For a six-bedroom house, we hoped to find more towels and blankets to adequately distribute to each guest. Other disappointing issues included showers that failed to reach a temperature above lukewarm and non-functional touchscreens in the primary bedroom.That said, the property manager, Golden, was incredibly kind and responsive, which we greatly appreciated! She did her best to address our concerns, even though, some of these issues were beyond her control. For the price and luxury description, we expected a more polished experience. With some improvements, this property could live up to its potential!
