Amazing location, cheeful staff, and a relaxing respite for campers and typical visitors alike. Very accomdating when it comes to unique needs and handicap friendly services. 5/5
Such a nice rustic place. It felt like we were really in iceland in these quaint cabins. The staff were friendly and professional. Will stay there again.
This is a nice property! Very clean and quiet. We stayed in the guesthouse that was down the road from the property. It has a spacious kitchen, dining and living room which is nice. Rooms were comfortable. Bathrooms very clean. They have a restaurant in n the property which is nice. Breakfast is as included. We enjoyed the breakfast. They even provide everything to make sandwiches to take with you for lunch which is really nice. We were greeted by a little dog which was adorable. Staff is friendly as well. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Would recommend.
Our cabin was newly updated. It was quiet, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed breakfast on the property the next morning. The food was great and they offered to pack up some lunches (for a small fee) to take away which was a great lunch option.
We enjoyed our stay at Guesthouse Brekka. They had a clean and new pack and play along with toys for our kids to use during our stay, which was a very nice touch. The location is in close proximity to Husavik, and was a nice out of the city stopping place for us. The unit is well-equipped and spacious and the family that runs the guesthouse is extremely friendly and courteous. The only critical feedback is that the Hotels.com listing should list that laundry is for a fee because as-listed it sounds a bit like it's in-unit. We would definitely return should we find ourselves in Northern Iceland again!
Everyone working there was nice. Good family business vibe. Big property. We did not expect anything of the restaurant and it turns out it was the best meal we had. Everything was amazing.
Great stay! Loved the included breakfast and the option for dinner (did not get to try dinner given our other activities during our stay, but I absolutely would’ve been excited to try it if it worked with our schedule!). The room had the necessities and was a clean and comfortable place to land at the end of the day! Didn’t spend much more time on the property overall, but loved the views and the vibes! Certainly would recommend!
We got a house that was perfect for us. It is fully equipped and spacious. Check in was easy and we got clear directions as what is expected from us when leaving the place. Also they were flexible with breakfast as we could just show up if we wanted to have it. All cool.
Tidy, comfortable, new refurbished (?) rooms with all that we needed. Good breakfast and we appreciated the restaurant in the evenings. All the staff were very helpful, and nice to be around. Whilst (of course!) there isn’t much directly around it was well placed to get to Húsavík and then around the diamond circle , for Myvatn, Dettifos, the thermal bathes etc - suited us perfectly !
I stayed in house 5, room 17. So cute inside! It was wonderful and spotless when I arrived. It was modern and offered the amenities listed. The woman at the front desk was very kind and gave clear directions to my room. Although I did not eat breakfast in the morning, it looked delightful as I was checking out. The location offers many views and was easy to access. Thank you for everything
Some of the staff are a little rude. Blinds dont do a very good job blocking the light. Dinner is very expensive. Other than that the room was comfortable and large.
Property is a stop over for tour bouses so it can get VERY busy. (Which is probably why some of the older stuff are rude and dont care) Make sure you time your breakfast so you miss the tour buses.
One night stay with our friends, we stayed in cabin 11 newly renovated and it was very nice, clean and all amenities. Each of us had a bedroom and very comfy. Lounge living area good size for four adults. There is a outdoor patio but to cold for us to sit outside. They had black out curtains which was great, first place on our trip that actually had them and thought of the comfort of their guests. Breakfast included and location quiet. Wifi nice and strong.
