Overall the stay was okay. The room was clean and fully equipped with all essentials. Nice layout and design. The area is quiet and seemed safe. CVS right down the straight which was great for grabbing water. Prior to arrival, i reached out with some questions and was responded to promptly and professionally. However, upon arrival we were not greeted at all by the woman at the "front desk". We paid extra for early check in at 1pm but arrived at 12pm and wanted to leave our bags while we got something to eat to kill time. The front desk agent did not greet or even speak to us, just simply looked up at us. We asked about the bags and she simply pointed to a door leading to the management office and told us to put them in there. Sign on the door said they are not responsible for your belongings and office will close at 5pm. We came back around 1:30 to find no one at the desk and the management office locked. Called the numbered at the desk and had to wait for someone to come unlock it. As far as our room, everything looked great other than the mold growing on the bathroom ceiling. Nice property but would not stay again just based off the lack of hospitality and the mold on the ceiling that needs repair.

As a business traveler, I reserved Sonder's Hogg Palace in lieu of a hotel room, seeking 1) more space and 2) a full kitchen. Both of my needs were nicely met. I also found the space to be surprisingly quiet, even with the downtown area just outside the window. I did not have a car, though the parking appeared easy and plentiful.

booked this for my bday week and it immediately felt like a second home to me. I hope and I will to come back here again this same year. I wish I could live here permanently, it’s so perfect! that queen bed felt like a king to me. the wood floor did feel pretty fragile so i was kinda scared walking bc i didn’t wanna break any floors, but other than that, i’d love to come back to the same room and hopefully for longer.

I have stayed with Sonder at least 12 times and this was a disappointing stay. I reserved a Deluxe 1 Bedroom. When I arrived, I entered and the bed was sitting directly in front of the door with a partition that was hung from the ceiling. The doors were dirty and old and the unit could have used some fresh paint. When I contacted customer service, the representative was argumentative to the point that I had to provide pictures and a video to be believed that I in fact did not have a 1 Bedroom that was an actual "room" with a door and walls. I was told that there were no other units. I searched and found an available unit and brought it to the attention of the representative who informed me that moving to another (smaller) unit would be an additional cost. This made no sense to me as I was paying a higher amount and the website's price for the studio was less. After a lot of back and forth, I compromised and agreed to the studio and figured I would alert management of the unfair pricing, after my stay. The studio was smaller, but definitely cleaner and more up to date. However, when it came time to sleep, it was awful. The air conditioner kept me up all night and there was a stranger sound of water streaming each time the AC turned on and off. It went on all night. There was also no full length mirror, only the bathroom mirror over the sink and the shower curtain and rod fell as I was showering. The second unit was aesthetically more pleasing but it was an unpleasant stay.

Quiero platicarles de la muy mala experiencia que hemos vivido esos días. El jueves que llegamos pagamos el estacionamiento, por desgracia nuestra pick up no cupo, me dijeron que me iban a a rembolsar el dinero, y hasta ahorita no he recibido ningún reembolso. Nuestro plan era disfrutar ahí en el departamento la estadía con nuestra nieta de 10 meses. Nuestra primer noche fue fatal, ya que el A/C hace un ruido tremendo, cada vez que el A/C prendía nuestra nieta se despertaba, era un ruido estruendoso. Eso fue todas las 4 noches. El viernes muy de mañana nos levantaron porque el personal de mantenimiento tenía que entrar a las 8:00 am para ver las paredes porque el departamento tenía goteras. Efectivamente el agua se trasmina por las columnas. Mas tarde volvieron a entrar para arreglar una fuga en el boiler (heater). Después tuvieron que entrar para arreglar la persiana, ésta no bajaba, tuvieron que arreglarla. Sábado y domingo hubo lluvias muy fuertes, para nuestra sorpresa no solo era la gotera en la columna, había dos gotera en el techo, tuvimos que poner ollas y toallas para que el departamento no se mojara. Abajo del mueble de la TV había una fresa seca podrida y para cerrar con broche de oro el elevador no funcionó el domingo. Somos una familia que viajamos muchísimo por muchas partes del mundo y jamás habíamos vivido algo así. Nos sentimos frustrados, robados porque ustedes sabían de todos estos detalles. No está para rentarse.

Really enjoyed our stay and the contactless check in and out. The only thing i would have liked was hand soap in the bathroom and a blanket in the living room. Bed was okay. Views were awesome. HUGE bathroom space and walk in closet.

I couldn’t be more happier with Sonder and its properties. Firm believer and will never choose anything else. Huge windows in downtown Houston, extremely clean, comfortable bed, it is downtown area so the guy yelling at himself outside is harmless lol. Very fun and active place. Will be back and only with Sonder

Our stay at Sonder The Hogg Palace was good overall. The decor is what I call “industrial chic” - exposed ductwork and concrete, super high ceilings, lots of metal and such. I liked it. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped, although missing some basics like a dishcloth and hand soap. No hand soap in the bathroom either. The suite was surprisingly noisy - we could hear a neighbor’s phone conversation - and there was a dog on the other side who barked for an hour. The bedroom is SUPER dark at night, good if you want to sleep late. It would be nice not having to log into an “app” merely to get info about the unit. In spite of those minor things, I would stay here again.

The area is primo... middle of downtown Houston. Really didn't need a rental car if youre planning on exploring the downtown or midtown area. Shared riding to local clubs were less than 10$ and parking on the streets are free after 6pm and all day sunday. The property was very comfortable and was a whole vibe. I had a ball. Cant wait to go back.

Great place to stay. I recommend that you read all the instructions before arriving because they're a bit confusing when you get there. The only complaint that I have is for the air condition wasn't cold enough even when I put it on 68 and on to be colder, it went to 74 degrees in the room by morning.

Pros: roomy, comfy bed, huge closet, full kitchen, good location near a lot of restaurants and walking distance to a cvs, underground parking, clean, responsive staff when we needed something. Cons: can get a little stuffy because the windows don’t open, needs a shade on the inside of the bathroom door (it has a glass center), some guests were too loud. Overall we loved our stay and would go back.

I love the industrial feel… parking garage was hard to figure out!! Some lady was getting railed next door though. I know this because at 5am we heard every freaking noise… I don’t know how that can be helped but Jesus it was loud.
