The house and pool were perfect for our family getaway. Great location: close to the airport and our other planned activities around Houston. Austin was very accommodating and even allowed an early check in. He was attentive and responsive to our questions and concerns.

The host was great there was just a really bad smell in the upstairs back room that was really unbearable to smell. We put plugins to try to mask but it didn’t help. There was also some sort of flea or something in the house one of my daughters got bit like 26 times. I think if the smell was taken care of and some good pest control it would have been great. The kids had a great time.

Home more than met our needs

House was a bit older than we expected based on photos. The heated pool was a big hit since this was early May. If home had some easy rennovation updates, it probably could rent for more per night. One bedroom had a bad smell (we were told it was spoiled milk).

Our problems started with the check in process, which was delayed. We could not get in contact with the host up to a couple of hours of check in, and had to contact VRBO directly. This is an older home in need of updates. The stair well rail is loose, the kitchen does not have a microwave or overhead light fixture cover. There is a leak in the guest bathroom which has penetrated the ceiling downstairs in the pantry, and the home smells like mildew. The pool and hot tub were dirty and not well kept. The home is also has pests. There were German roaches in the kitchen, and raccoons burrowing into the walls and attic. We witnessed at least three raccoons accessing the home, just under the back patio awning, and you can hear them crawling in the void spaces of the home at night. Overall the home was convenient to where we wanted to be, but the owner needs to invest quite a bit to keep the home suitable for guests.
