"The property was suitable for the price we paid, but the pictures online led me to believe it was better than it actually was. Communication was good, but had a little trouble figuring out how to get into the room once the code was given to us. Overall it was a good place to stay, just not quite what I was expecting."

"Wonderful place, great location. The younger children's toys were a hit, the board games and arcade room were a great resource as well. Only suggestion is to provide curtains in the kids room."
The Alder Lodge - Hot tub, shuffleboard, ping pong, air hockey, bbq, dogs-ok
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful one week stay at The Alder Lodge. The home was welcoming, cozy and clean, beds were comfortable. There was plenty of room for our family. We had everything we needed. We enjoyed the game room and hot tub. Location was perfect as a base for us to explore the beautiful area, including Portland, Mt. Hood, Columbia River Gorge; we also took a longer drive to Cannon Beach/Haystack Rock, which we highly recommend. Sandy is a nice town with options for dining and groceries. We also liked the deck out back with gas fire pit, surrounded by beautiful trees/forest. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Our week went by too quickly, there's so much more to see and do there. We hope to come back someday!"
Cozy cabin 1 mile to Sandy Ridge Bike Park, with RV hook up and EV charger.
10/10 Excellent
"This place is an incredibly cozy and homey cabin, far enough away from the big city, but not so remote that you feel isolated. Over a 3 day stay we maybe only saw 2 other people around the whole neighborhood which was perfect. The place is well planned out for a cabin, with cozy beds and a huge couch, strong AC in the living room (only) for the summer months, and an amazing hot tub to relax in after a day of hikes."
"It’s definitely a beautiful place, secluded , quiet, surrounded by nature. The host was welcoming and so easy to contact. It’s a 5. But the address is hard to find that’s the only downside… the GPS said arrived, have to keep driving, would need a bigger sign or lighted address at the gate. Would totally book here again. "
Dog-friendly A-frame near the river with game room, firepit, wood stove, & grill
10/10 Excellent
"My son, dog and I stayed here for 6 nights. He went to snowboard camp each day while I worked in the cabin. Strong internet able to handle video calls. Bathroom recently updated, airy and decorated well. Big washer and dryer, lovely deck to sit on in the evenings with the outdoor lights. Nice yard (not fenced in). Quiet, small neighborhood. Lovely to walk around. "Even Better Ifs": Needs a recycle bin, ice trays and a curtain on the window in the loft."
Unwind in nature's embrace at a 1925 cabin with hot tub & river views
10/10 Excellent
"It was an excellent little get away. The cabin is small, with tiny stairs leading to the upstairs bedroom. If you cant manage 18" wide stairs with a tun in them, dont plan on sleeping up there, ha. The jets in the hot tub weren't working while we were there, but it was nice listening to the sound of the river instead. Nicely stocked kitchen with some nice pots, pans, and baking equipment. Kitchen utensils are so-so with the usual spatula and spoon assortment. They even had some spices. Least favorite thing was the fireplace. Probably the worst fireplace I've built a fire in. The chimney didn’t do a good job of allowing smoke to flow up it when getting the fire started, and the air flow control didn’t allow for much air to get the fire started until it is really established. I grew up in a house heated by a wood stove, so I'm not a novice, lol. Otherwise everything was great!"
