They suggested what tip we should leave each person which was far beyond a tip, more like paying the staffs wages. Made our stay uneasy

A fabulous place to stay... We saw the big 5 on our first game drive. Truly amazing. Seeing the animals was incredible, but the staff and the lodge made the trip very special.

Mon coup de coeur Sud Africain

C'est un lieux extraordinaire en plein bush, un endroit d'une sérénité absolue au milieu de cette nature qui elle ne s’arrête jamais. Les lodges sont équipés d’immenses baies vitrées et donnent l'impression de vivre dehors en permanence. La nourriture est délicieuse et variée. L'accueil et les attentions de l’équipe sont un délice quotidien. Pour exemple, nous avons trouvé chaque soir sur le lit de nos enfants (6 et 12 ans) un conte africain a leur raconter avant d'aller dormir. Willie notre ranger (un amoureux éperdu de la nature) et John notre traqueur (l'homme qui voit tout et qui ne renonce jamais) on fait de nos safaris une succession de découvertes et de rencontres avec des animaux de tout poils. Cet endroit, les hommes et les animaux qui y vivent sont vraiment MON COUP DE COEUR SUD AFRICAIN!!!

Einmalig, genial, familiär!

Wir würden jedem einen Aufenthalt in der Jackalberry Lodge empfehlen! Wir haben zwei Nächte dort verbracht und waren begeistert. Insgesamt gibt es dort nur 7 Lodges was zu einer extrem familiären Stimmung beiträgt. Als wir dort waren, waren neben uns nur noch ein weiteres Paar in dem Hotel. Der Service ist nahezu perfekt. Vom Empfang bis zur Abreise können wir nichts kritisieren. Die Zimmer/Lodges sind extrem geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bieten alles was man braucht. Ab und zu haben kleine Tiere es geschafft sich in unser Zimmer zu schleichen (vor allem kleine Frösche), doch man muss bedenken, dass man mitten in der Wildnis ist. Das andere Paar hatte keine Tiere im Zimmer. Das Essen, welches serviert wurde war exzellent! Am ersten Abend gab es ein romantisches Dinner auf einer kleinen Terrassen im hoteleigenen Garten und am zweiten wurde gemeinsam am Lagerfeuer gegessen. Täglich wurden zwei Safaris je ca. 3 Stunden angeboten. Schon nach der zweiten hatten wir die kompletten Big Five gesehen. Wir waren mit Ranger Brad und Tracker Timber unterwegs. Beide haben jahrelange Erfahrung in dem Gebiet und wussten genau wo, welches Tier zu finden war. Wir haben uns zu jeder Zeit absolut sicher gefühlt! Es gibt wirklich keinerlei Kritik die uns zu diesem wundervollen Ort einfällt. Wir würden sofort ein zweites Mal gehen.

Very welcoming game park

Excellent ranger Reece and his tracker John, in the 3 days we were there we saw all the Big Five and more, great food except too much sugar used in the cooking, exceptional staff tending to your every need. Would highly recommend.

Excellent accueil, bon safari, mais pas assez de protection pour empecher les animaux de venir près des cases. Bon repas servi autour d'un feu ou sous l'auvant. Les rangers pour le safari sont excellents

Wonderful Honeymoon

My wife and I stayed two nights at this lodge on our honeymoon. We had a great time. They set up a nice private dinner the night we arrived. The next morning they gave us a private game tour. I was very pleased with their thoughtfulness. The guides do a great job of communicating with our guides and trackers in the reserve to ensure you get to see all the animals (especially the Big Five). The staff and guides are all friendly and excellent. I would highly recommend this lodge and look forward to returning.
