Go for a leisurely walk down the 3/4 mile - low traffic gravel lane. At night sit on the porch and listen to the tranquil sounds of the river, do a little stargazing or grill your favorite steak, sit around the firepit or picnic table. When you go inside you can relax by the electric fireplace with someone special. Read, watch Roku TV, play chess or checkers. Quiet and peaceful
We had a lovely time at Dan River! It’s an older home, but very clean and comfortable. It has all the amenities we needed to cook a nice dinner and sit under the stars by the fire pit! Estelle was wonderful to get back with me on any questions I had. It was only about 15 miles to Mt. Airy to tons of restaurants, and the drive was beautiful! If you are looking for a comfortable, country setting you can’t go wrong with Dan River!

Loved the rippling stream in front of the property and thank you for providing the tubes! The house was comfortable and roomy and the kitchen is stocked well. Enjoyed our time. Estelle is a wonderful host.

Clean and well supplied
Our family enjoyed our time at the Dan River House. Our grandchildren had a wonderful time with all the toys and a great time playing in the yard and on the river. Our only complaint might would be the large noisy air conditioner in the upstairs bedrooms. They kept the rooms cool but they were loud. Good check in and all items we needed in the kitchen.
