Being returning guests, who enjoy the village and surrounding area, are aware that if you are unable to check-in before the restaurant closes for lunch time service, you have to wait until 18.00hrs when restaurant re opens for evening service to check-in, though there is a phone number on the door. Expedia on their confirmation says you can check-in anytime from 14.00hrs.」

「My only criticism of the hotel is the breakfast offering. Being in France one would expect fabulous fresh croissants and great coffee. Neither the case here. Stodgy not fresh croissants/pain au chocolate and not good coffee out of the machines.」

「The property was lovely, with fantastic views. It was in a great location and was well equipped. The bed was really comfortable but it was too hot to sleep. I had good communication with the host but There are a couple of negatives that i feel i should mention: The property really needs to have a fan as it was uncomfortably hot being on the top floor even with windows open and blinds closed. 「We really enjoyed our stay at Chateau de Montreuil, which is a lovely boutique hotel set in large gardens near the citadel. Terrific location and easy to walk into and around the town centre. Their restaurant was excellent, with all five in our party well satisfied with our 3-course meal, wine and service. Highly recommended.」
