Stunning views, wonderful beaches, and lovely town with plenty of shops, and good restaurants. Our apartment was excellent, views from both the kitchen and bedroom, along with large patios with lounge chairs and umbrella with panoramic views of the bay.

We gave just returned from a weeks stay at Skajado. We thought it was beautiful. Quiet, away from the busy area but still within 10 mins walk of bars and restaurants. Appt was spacious and cleaned every other day. Views of the sea/Stalida from the appt terrace are stunning. Nice communal areas to sit in the shade or sunbathe on the grass if you need a day off the beach. We had a night flight home and were able to use the communal areas to sit and relax. Also had use of an outdoor shower and toilet cubicle. Only negative is that there is no secure luggage room to leave your cases until you leave for airport. Otherwise, a perfect place that we will definitely return to.

Little piece of Scandi heaven

Skajado was even more amazing than we expected. The water access is great from the jetty, snorkelling is lovely. The communal outdoor spaces are lovely and comfortable, amazing views. Great location, short walk to town but in a really quiet area. We got great cakes on arrival. We have a wonderful time and I'd love to go back again. Nitpicks on the downside we seemed to get into trouble for using the BBQ so would be good so have some guidance about whether that is for guest use or not. The day before departure we were asked to check out an hour early which we could not do. The cleaners knocked us out of the way as we were taking our bags out 5 minutes before check out time. A bit disconcerting, made us think we might leave something. Probably could do with a few more bowls etc in the kitchen.

Es ist ein Traum Appartement. Meerblick ohne Ende. Süße urige Anlage. Kann man es für Stalida nur empfehlen. Man benötigt ein Auto. Kleine Küche mit 2 Herdplatten für Omelett gut geeignet und eine Microwelle. Im öffentliche Bereich kann man grillen. Steg um ins Wasser zu gehen mit einer Treppe möglich.

Good location, but unprofessional and overpriced

We arrived at about 9pm and had a hard time finding the place to check in. There were only a few outside lights and no office marked. After wandering around in the dark for awhile, we spoke to a lady walking around the building who apparently worked there or owned it. She led us to an office +unmarked). At first, they could not find our reservation. Finally, they found it and we were led by the same lady to another building in the dark. No outside lights were turned on and there were many steps and some kind of cable we had to step over. She fumbled around with many different keys before finding the correct one and then let us into the apartment. We had requested a superior room with a double bed. The bed was two small mattresses pushed together on a platform with separate small sheets. The apartment was very dated and the bathroom was so small you had to stand in the shower when using the sink. The owner (?) asked for payment on the spot after letting us in the room. I said that we would have to pay with a credit card since we didn't have that much cash. She said we could come to the office before 10am to pay but found my credit card number on Expedia and charged it for the full amount. Other issues-internet didn't work, there was a bag of garbage outside the apartment left there for all 3 nights, and they mistakenly kept my passport and didn't tell me they had it, which caused a panic. Upsides-did have a nice terrace with a partial ocean view and the location was good.

Beautifully designed boutique apartments. The apartments tens elves are fairly standard but with excellent bed linen. The outdoor living rooms are a delight and attract many photographers. Walking home each evening to our exquisite place in the sun was a pleasure

Beautiful hotel close to the beach, great views

This hotel is gorgeous- close to beach access, amazing views, walking distance to shops and restaurants. It is difficult to find the front desk for check in, and far from the airport (in case you're like me and don't check that in advance 😜). It is SO worth it- gorgeous place!!!

Außerhalb der Saison war das ein Traum. Allerdings braucht man unbedingt einen Mietwagen, denn im November ist im sonstigen Party-Ort alles geschlossen, bis auf eine tolle griechische Taverne (ist gegenüber von Romantic Corner-Vermieter fragen!!), wo man super essen kann und auch sehr herzlich behandelt wird.Schönes Studio mit großem Balkon und Blick aufs Meer! Schwimmen morgens vom eigenen Steg der Anlage. Leckeres Gebäck von der lieben Vermieterin. Für Indiviualreisende außerhalb der Saison kann ich mir nichts besseres vorstellen!! Ein TRAUM!

Ruhig, strandnah, tolle Aussicht

In der Nebensaison sehr ruhig, liebevoll arrangierter Außenbereich mit Treppen zum felsigen Strand, es gibt einen Steg und ein paar Schritte in die andere Richtung auch Sand. Das Apartment ist geräumig und hat einiges was man braucht, wie Gewürze, Toaster, Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle. Der Wasserkocher blieb leider kalt. Sehr bequemes Bett mit ausreichend Kissen, im Bad Hand- und Regendusche und ein schöner großer Balkon mit Tisch und Stühlen und Sonnenliegen. Von der Optik her hell und einladend, wenn man genauer schaut, kleine Macken (zB hat der Kühlschrank außen Rost). Die Besitzer sind unkompliziert und super freundlich, haben uns Süßes und Wasser hingestellt und uns ein hübsches kleines Restaurant (Maistrali) in Laufnähe empfohlen. Man sollte nicht unterschätzen, was in der Nebensaison alles geschlossen hat! Mit dem Auto ca. 30 Min. nach Heraklion.

Wir waren Anfang März die ersten Gäste der Saison und empfanden es als angenehm leer. Es handelt sich um eine wirklich tolle Anlage. Die größeren Zimmer haben eine abgetrennte Terrasse mit traumhafter Aussicht. Bei den Zweibettzimmern muss man wohl damit rechnen, dass häufiger andere Gäste vorbeilaufen. Das Hotel liegt abseits des Trubels. Wer im Meer schwimmen möchte, muss eine Leiter am felsigen Strand benutzen.

Nice end to our visit in Crete.

We just returned from a 2 week visit to Crete. Spent 7 days hiking in southwestern Crete. Finished our last two days at Skajado, only 20 minutes by taxi from Heraklion Airport. Near all the action of Malia but quiet at night.

There is no reception or directions to where to get the keys. After a long search up and Down of the stairs, we came in contact with the owner? She did not know we were coming,or know that we had payed for 4 nights, and therefore had not prepared the room for us, with our special request. We Wonder if it is had been high season if it were full and we could not stay, even though we had booked and paid in advance. The beds were not that good as it is stated on hotels.com, but still much better than the rest of Crete. The shower had only cold Water except for the rainfallshower. The view was very nice, overlooking the bay, and the terasse was big (superior room), but not private at all, but more private than the other ones in the hotel. Not a place for children or elderly people. The nearest town with a beach, was very dirty and with loud music out on the street. The free parking is out on the street. Wifi functioning perfectly, though a bit slow.

Beautiful views and adorable charming hotel

Loved the look of this hotel and views couldn't be beat. Very charming location with great balcony and decks overlook the sea. Too bad the beds were hard and air conditioning didn't work properly. Otherwise a great location.

Apartments offer stunning views over Malia Bay. Owner of property was very attentive to ensure my family had an enjoyable vacation. Highly recommend this property.
